On arrival the assistant manager working behind the desk was superb in his greeting, behaviour, and customer support.
Over the course if an hour I witnessed him great customers with an excellent manner. He also apologised for some slow returns of vehicles.
He thanked staff members who were leaving who also went one step further. I felt this created a good team feel.
One customer clearly had a big problem and I overheard the assistant manager offering to stay late and arrive to work early in order to help get the car back to her.
Really impressive.
The two lads stressed about the whole scenario eg. how long it all takes to do etc. fair enough, also was smelter of a hot day & these guys did not want to be there! Understandable but in all fairness be lucky your in a job and i cant wait up to 2 weeks for refund just because of their poorly run centre. So they said around three hours+ to do the jobs in the end.
Meanwhile i came back just over two hours later to check how they were getting on and i went in all friendly, just as i couldn't see my car in there anywhere, again very unfriendly, but the job was nearly done anyways, so I remained calm and friendly. No waiting area by the way, or air conditioning so i left again.
I got a call 20 minutes later my car is all done which to be fair on the phone very professional and friendly. I went back and the guys had only done the tyres and said the alignment machine is faulty and cannot proceed. They would issue a refund and said id get a call to re-book next week. No call also no refund issued. I had to escalate via Halfords live chat customer service to chase the refund. I was reasonably happy with the tyre quality & selection and the online offer for this.
Overall i felt the overall experience was very poor for a reputable company and I definitely would not recommend this centre specifically. What gets me is the added stress you've given that i can do without & makes you feel awkward and uncomfortable/unwelcome and they got paid for that, i however did not. Id advise you all take your service somewhere more appreciated where you can happily go again & again.
