We had a terrible experience. The car was clean and good at an average price range. But, we could re-fuel it upto 95% and they charged us 36£ for remaining fuel. I don't think 5% fuel costs this much in UK. This is their cheap money bagging tactic

I can only give it one start as I did not actually get a car. I booked and pre paid. One hour before pick up I received a call explaining that there were NO. cars available.
I am now stuck on three train journeys followed by taxis totalling about 14 hours. I really needed a car?

I third checked on the sixt app and they are still taking bookings at the same office door for the same time period.

I called the sixt office back and asked how this could happen. I was told that they still take bookings despite having no cars. What?

Be careful.

Terrible rental company! By far the worst in the UK. Not just Nottingham branch but all other branches in England too, the company cares about nothing other than making money and order to do so they will take advantage of customers and staff. I could sit here and write for days about my experience with Sixt both as a customer and as a staff member but I am sure I don’t need to, anyone that has rented from them in the past will know exactly what I am talking about. Best advice I can give you is avoid it at all costs, if you chose not to take my advice then the only thing I can tell you is good luck! Also don’t be fooled by some of these 5* reviews on here, a lot of them are fabricated as staff are instructed to do so by management. If you’re unsure whether to believe me or not just simply try calling as if you were a customer any contact number you can find for sixt on the internet then let me know how much help you will actually get LOL, like I said good luck to you! P.S I only gave this 1* cause that’s the lowest possible cause if -5* was an option that’s what they would be getting

A true godsend. After a story of woe too long to tell here involving a breakdown of my own car, the people at Sixt Birmingham Airport were absolutely fantastic. They really went above and beyond to do what they could to help us out

Absolutely Awful!
From start to finish the whole service was terrible. If it was not for me desperately needing a car ASAP I would not of used them. Extra charges were added on left, right and centre. And the returning of the car was even worse. It took AGES to get our deposit back, when we did, it was wrong. I had to really fight to get my own money back. Staff in the Nottingham Branch were more like friends on a night out rather than working professionals. Loud Shouting, Swearing in the office and loud music., I honesty was so let down by the service from these money grabbing students.

Be very careful with this awful and careless company.

1,5 hour before pick up I received a call from a guy who does not know how to speak to a customer explaining that there were no cars available. If there were no cars going to be available why are you taking reservations? To make it worse a guy who doesnt know how to talk to a customer calls at 7.30 am.

Luckily it was not an emergency sitution and now I know in the future which car rental company I will definitely not be using.

After a bit of a bad start having no cars available they managed to turn it around to the best experience. Quick and reliable. Great car! Good customer service ! Really happy and will use again.

I booked and paid for my rental two weeks before the pick up date. At 4pm the afternoon before I was due to pick up I received an email telling me they needed to talk to me about vehicle availability. By the time I saw the email the office was closed. I arrived at 8am the next morning and was told there were no cars. Simply no cars. This entirely messed up my plans for the day. Luckily I was able to walk to Europcar where I was well looked after.
One positive is that I got my refund very quickly.
