Europcar Stevenage

My overall experience with Europcar Stevenage was fantastic. Great choice of cars. The booking, pick up, return & extension were very simple and hassle-free. I would strongly recommend Europcar stevenage for everyone. Looking forward to booking with them the next time as well. Great job Europcar.

Absolutely terrible firm we booked a van to move house and they cancelled the day before because they and I quote "didn't have any van" why comfirm the booking. We have a disabled daughter and two other young children we now not only have to pay extra rent to stay at our premises but have to also find a van still now 4 days later because its not a problem to leave people high and dry on bank holiday with a quick "sorry for any inconvenience" email not even the decency to call. I hope you all step on plug sockets.

Friendly but not very professional. They rushed to give me the car and then told me then, when I found damage on the car, told me that the computer was closed down and they couldn't record the damage properly. He said he was aware of damage and hadn't remembered to note it online. I took pics with staff in the background as proof and it all worked out upon return (i.e no charges). But this is possibly because I took pics and emailed, with a time stamp. The car offered was also somewhat smaller than what Europcar indicated on their booking website.

A bit disappointing. Europcar was happy for me to make a booking and take my money, then a week later says they don't actually have any vans available and I have to wait 2 weeks for a refund.

Honest opinion, if I was paying personally and not having to go through my insurance company I wouldn’t go near Europcar. Allowing dangerous vehicles to be driven even after they have been shown the vehicle and the state it was in. Upon delivery I advised the car was a bit of a wreck and then for all the mechanical faults to be happening in quick succession. Then after taking it to the branch in Stevenage because I was getting nowhere calling them and showing them the problems to be told to bring it back in the morning we might have something else for you is a disgrace.

Booked a van with Europcar paid in full weeks in advance 12 hours before I'm due to pick the van up they cancel the book by email.

This company is a disgrace !!!

And to top it off they are still to refund me !!

Have now found out that this company will take booking for any number of cars or vans on the web site they then look at the orders day before you are due to collect and just cancel the ones they cant fulfill .

I would give ZERO stars for this company. We booked TWO large vans for a weekend business show, well in advance and paid for. Then the DAY BEFORE our show BOTH vans were cancelled by Europcar via email. Unable to get hold of ANYONE at the company. Avoid this awful company at all cost!

Terrible, van was cancelled the day before I was due to move house because of issues with the wheels. Guy that called was apologetic but no continguncy for what I can do. Had to source a new van late notice for more than I planned to pay from another company. Awful.
