Staff is nice. But be carefull if you are renting a van Mercedes Sprinter KV68UTJ. There is a leak on the roof. The staff unfortunately didn't trust me I was too busy to protect my boxes and I didnt think about filming it...

Hertz is a scam. A month after I returned the car, they claimed it had damage and tried to make me pay $415. They kept sending me threatening emails that if I didn't pay right away my credit standing would be affected. When I finally asked for proof of damages, they suddenly "realized" there was a mistake and the car wasn't damaged.

Awful communication by the system and app.

Any of 3 opportunities to tell me I couldn't rent a van today and none were communicated by the app. Wasted time and money travelling to IKEA for nothing.

Trying to use this service will waste hours of your life. DO NOT USE.

We made a booking for a 3 day rental but needed to cancel. Given we paid the higher non-pre paid fee and booked direct with Hertz, Katie was able to help up with the cancellation. Top quality service, informative and answered all our questions regarding the hire. Will not look elsewhere when needing to hire in the future.

We've returned our car with a full tank as requested on Monday 22nd of Aug 5pm (Vauxhall Grandland 1.2, blue colour), and received a bill for 70£ days later because of fuel charges.

Despite we have the credit card statement showing a charge happening at the local gas station minutes before our drop-off, and for an amount that matches the miles driven during the rental (driven miles confirmed by the agency in the receipt), we're being asked for an itemised receipt to prove that.

At no point the staff recommended that we'd better ask & save the receipt for fuel. As things are looking like right now, it looks like a purposeful scam to charge almost 50% more of the agreed rental price.

It's a real shame, as the person giving us the vehicle on Friday was a really nice and solid person. Stay away from this agency, first time ever this happened to me and it's very disconcerting.

Absolute scam artists. Complained and complained about returning my money for a delivery they last minute cancelled and despite multiple times complaining, they've still not given me my £120 back and this was 6 weeks ago!! DO NOT USE THIS FIRM.

Supplied a new car in spotless condition on a long term hire. Excellent drop off and pickup at a point of my choice.

If I could give negative stars I absolutely would. Overlooking all the problems I had with booking that aren't the branch's fault, it was still a nightmare. I waited in the rain for 20 minutes after my booking time (well after they opened) for someone to unlock the building and let me in. I don't know what's standard as I've only rented a vehicle once before, but there was no guide to the important bits of using the vehicle like where the lights were so I had to pull into a service station to Google it. Anyway, when I picked the vehicle up, the member of staff made me aware of some damage to it, which thankfully I took pictures of before I took the van. Truly a relief I did that because a couple of days later I got an email asking me to pay for £630ish of damage - one of the big ol' dents that was already there. They did void the charge when I sent them my pictures and blamed a new trainee for not properly documenting the damage that they were... Already aware of when I collected the vehicle?

I'd only recommend renting through Hertz if you're after raising your blood pressure and you have a spare pair of underwear to hand.

Edited to add today I checked my phone bill and it turns out I spent £9 for the joy of being on the phone to Hertz because their website wouldn't let me book and calling the branch to fix the dent situation. Never ever ever again, absolutely raging.
