To have a confirmed booking via email for a pick up and collection at my address a week before hire date then get told by the depot at 14.30 the afternoon before that they have no cars available and the best they could do was to pick a car up at the depot at 16.00 on the day of the hire!
Firstly, if I have a confirmed booking so how can you possibly do that?
Secondly, what use is a car at 16.00 in the afternoon of the hire if the requirement was for 10.00?
Thirdly, what is the point of modifying my booking with a hire charge price then charging me something completely different when I get the invoice?
This only confirms that it's down to poor management.
I doubt I'll be coming back!
As for my business discount, I couldn't get that to apply and the same happened for another offer which we never received the email for (done independently).
Booking a car through website and selected pickup time at 8:30 in the morning.
8:00 am in the morning got a phone call that we're sorry but we don't have a car for you, it will be available next day.
So I've asked whether there are any other cars and got a reply that no. What car renting company allow to book cars without having a single one available to pickup.
I can understand that I was booking out of hours, but do you want to tell me that you were expecting all the cars to be returned on this day - then why do you let anyone book a car!?
This is some kind of sick joke.
I feel really sorry for people who works there and who need to inform people about not having a car...
Now, this is my second car and both have issues with tyre pressure. Just like the last one, all over inflated yet one considerably less than the others, I wonder why?
This car has a higher than expected average mileage and it feels like it. By that I mean it's pushing 16k and I honestly don't think I've ever had a rental so heavily used before. But then, it's a 2019 model so, to be expected. Picture included.
First rental was a BMW which was ok though we tyre pressure issue. With the BMW it's annoying because settings are not stored because for that I'd need to be a BMW member and signed into the car. It's annoying as I suspect it would remember eco preference and store that setting but it doesn't.
With both cars, and I know it's pretty but we perhaps reset the system between users. For example, I couldn't add my phone because it already had 6 users, I had to remove them myself. It really doesn't take long to do the reset.
