Booked and paid for a car in advance to be picked up at 10am, when I reached there, I was told that there were no cars in the category available until 2pm. There was however other cars, but I was refused them unless I paid around 60£ to upgrade. This ruined the plans we had for that day. Poor and unreliable service. What's the point of booking when the service is so unreliable.

Going by this experience I would say the service was shocking.
To have a confirmed booking via email for a pick up and collection at my address a week before hire date then get told by the depot at 14.30 the afternoon before that they have no cars available and the best they could do was to pick a car up at the depot at 16.00 on the day of the hire!
Firstly, if I have a confirmed booking so how can you possibly do that?
Secondly, what use is a car at 16.00 in the afternoon of the hire if the requirement was for 10.00?
Thirdly, what is the point of modifying my booking with a hire charge price then charging me something completely different when I get the invoice?
This only confirms that it's down to poor management.
I doubt I'll be coming back!

No easy disabled access....no ramp or door stop. Promised one car given an older and smaller car. For a car with 27000 miles on it the gearbox is like storing porridge. Not impressed.

I actually feel bad for the staff. We booked a car online to arrive and find out there was no car available. There’s also lots of hidden costs you don’t get told about when booking. Like over £100 for an additional driver. Or the £700 fee. Oh and we paid £28 up front to secure the booking which I’m sure we will never see again. I would avoid this place like Covid! Trying to hire a vehicle has never been so stressful. It should be an easy process. It definitely is not. The company needs to sort out how it runs, customer service and making it an enjoyable experience. Not just concentrate on the bottom like.

Absolutely avoid at all costs. The car we got was in rough shape which we could notice right away. I've never been more worried about a service that is supposed to be helpful, not stressful. Car had some issues on the last day too. They are closed on Sundays so keep that in mind when you book!

Good value, but whenever there is an issue, I am told to report it to customer service; the office can't deal with you. In the last van I had, all the lashing eyes were seized. Not much good on a commercial vehicle!

As for my business discount, I couldn't get that to apply and the same happened for another offer which we never received the email for (done independently).

Avoid at all cost!

Booking a car through website and selected pickup time at 8:30 in the morning.
8:00 am in the morning got a phone call that we're sorry but we don't have a car for you, it will be available next day.
So I've asked whether there are any other cars and got a reply that no. What car renting company allow to book cars without having a single one available to pickup.
I can understand that I was booking out of hours, but do you want to tell me that you were expecting all the cars to be returned on this day - then why do you let anyone book a car!?
This is some kind of sick joke.

I feel really sorry for people who works there and who need to inform people about not having a car...

I asked them to change some scheduling and she totally worked with me. In person I had a very professional yet personable service.

Now, this is my second car and both have issues with tyre pressure. Just like the last one, all over inflated yet one considerably less than the others, I wonder why?

This car has a higher than expected average mileage and it feels like it. By that I mean it's pushing 16k and I honestly don't think I've ever had a rental so heavily used before. But then, it's a 2019 model so, to be expected. Picture included.

First rental was a BMW which was ok though we tyre pressure issue. With the BMW it's annoying because settings are not stored because for that I'd need to be a BMW member and signed into the car. It's annoying as I suspect it would remember eco preference and store that setting but it doesn't.

With both cars, and I know it's pretty but we perhaps reset the system between users. For example, I couldn't add my phone because it already had 6 users, I had to remove them myself. It really doesn't take long to do the reset.
