Enterprise Car & Van Hire - Guildford

I couldn't be happier with the service from Enterprise in Guildford. Simple and clear booking online, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the car was spotless and exactly as described when I booked it, not a substituted model. The car was ready for me and pick up took less than 5 minutes, as did the return, even though I forgot to top up the fuel. It was made very easy for me to just pay for x amount of fuel and not unreasonably expensive. Just a totally pleasant experience. Well done everyone involved, I'm about to book my next rental from this team.

Rented a medium sized van Saturday morning for a couple of hours. The website was clear and easy to navigate when booking the vehicle, when picking the van up the chap behind the desk was brilliant, friendly and professional. Overall exceptional value for the money and did the trick. Highly recommended!

I did a drop off from other location booked by central booking. Guildford wouldn’t take the van back and was stressful as I had a flight to catch. Ended up going to Woking where staff were helpful. However, got the point but woman didn’t offer any assistance simple NO. It was my problem and that was the attitude. Maybe call ahead to Woking for me or offer a pick up - no help!

From pick up I was given a larger van which didn’t help with the issue and hadn’t realised at the time it was larger than what I planned to drive from Scotland to Surrey.

Van was a Merc and good for the long journey. Paisley branch were helpful and tried to advise and speak out and offered to pay my taxi.

The entrance is super small, and the blond lady receptionist is very rude. The lady doing the phone call is rude as well.
Basically, the variety of cars is small.
The overall service just meets the basic standard. I would say the service can’t compare those Enterprise branch in North America. Again it’s the problem of the culture of Guildford - indirect racial discrimination, and lazy, rude working attitude - should be improved.

I missed the survey window but wanted to say thank you to the staff at enterprise Guildford for such an amazing hire experience! Martin and the person who did the handover (sorry I can't remember their name!) were extremely friendly, personable and welcoming. I will definitely use then to hire again if needed!

Seems a lot more expensive for a car than local hire company, The cars are not cleaned properly before rental especially the outide

WARNING: Tried to scam me out of £1700. Basically I rented a 'compact' vehicle. Was lumbered with a car with 41k on it and given the standard b/s excuse about cars being hard to buy, bla bla bla. small marks on it and was told not to worry , all had been noted. Returned car and then employee (name witheld for privacy of employee but happy to give it to Enterprise c/s if they are interested) asked what had happened to bumper! (small , light 6 inch scuff) . She then took my £200 deposit and said they were going to hit my card for an additional £1500. I refused to pay the £1500 and have reported the £200 to my bank as a disputed transaction / fraud. I have received a letter from Enterprise blackmailing me , saying that if I dont give them the £1500 they will blacklist me with themselves and other car hire companies they deal with.

Even if I had caused the damage which I hadnt, its a minor repair , £200 or less. Ive spoken to an ex employee of Enterprise from that site and also another one from a different branch who have both told me that this is a scam the company uses widely and is the reason these two people left the employ of enterprise. They didnt want to be part of it. So if youre desperate enough to have to rent from this lot, DO NOT trust them with anything , carefully inspect and take pics of vehicle when you rent it, and also probably best to stop your card or at least make sure they cant take additional charges when you return it.

On a final note; a return document , that was prepared in the branch was sent to me with a signature on it. The document stated that it was the renters signature. it was not, I didnt sign it - so they forged that as well. Utter disgrace .

To be honest, if they hadnt tried to scam me out of the extra £1500, I'd have just put the £200 down to one of those lessons in life. My fault for being too trusting - always check car properly when renting it etc and just never rented from this branch again - but left it at that - but the attempted scam, the letter blackmailing me and basically unfairly blacklisting me meant I cant just let this ride.

I am happy to be contacted by Enterprise CS about this if it is felt a resolution is possible.

Hired a car for work. It was dropped off and picked up my house at the exact times allocated and the car was great! Martin (May) phoned ahead to make sure I was happy with everything and keep me informed. My first time hiring a car and it was so easy, I will definitely be using frequently.
