Just off the phone with Gapton Car Hire. The gentleman was not particularly bothered whether he rented a van or not. There are lots of others around here that do care and they are getting my business. If I owned or managed Gapton Car Hire I would call in pretending to be a customer and see how customers are treated.

I hired a car which was good new model 2017 and cheap as well £45per day and 10p per mile if you go over 200 miles. Friendly staff. They hasn't charge extra but sometimes other do. Highly recommended. Located in industrial area next to swift taxis.

I hired a medium sized van at the weekend and thought I would share my experience. The staff were really friendly and took the time to explain the everything we needed to know. The van was really clean and tidy, modern and a pleasure to drive. Drop off out of hours was so easy also. All in all a good experience and would recommend anyone to try this company first.

Very rude to my son who enquired about a van for the end of month as if it was too early to book, my daughter then called to book a couple of days later to be told only one van available no lwb left!! And spoken to like a piece of dirt! Would never give them the time of day again!

Spoke to A lady on the phone and given one price a couple of days later went in and spoke to the same lady and given the same price and paid £100 deposit. The day I went to get the vehicle I was then charged a different price which included more deposit that I wasn't told about. When I went to the vehicle with a member of staff i was told it was the director that gave me the wrong information and she does it on a regular bases.
Apart from the poor service from the director everything else was okishh.

Polite and friendly staff, excellent rates for hire of clean, up to date vehicles. Would happily recommend and use again.
