Took in my wife's Vogue for a major service and I left extremely happy. I was shown what a poor (and dangerous) job was done elsewhere on some aspects and I was shocked- obvious when an expert shows you where to look. One place (well known and reputable) quoted me 1k to replace my air suspension, but he did a proper inspection and found that it was a simple fix.
He also got it running as it should- and how I didn't know it could. He told me to take it for a short blast to see if I could spot the difference and it went from a cruise liner to a complete beast. All this because previous services over 13 years never cleaned out the filters properly.
Now I have to convince my wife to swap cars with me...
Thank you. Thank you.
Fortunately we found Paul and PEX 5x5, bit of luck really, we moved to our new house just a few hundred yards down the road from them, our back brakes were locking on (having been replaced/repaired twice in the last 12 months by main dealer and Indy) and despite being incredibly busy not only did he fit us in within the week he also did a first rate job, upgraded the brake setup (so brake squeal shouldn't be an issue in the future) and did all this with great friendly service and a fair price.
I've owned everything from Defenders and Discovery's to our current Range Rover and at least now have someone I can trust to work on the oily bits.
Paul is a genius!
Paul, thank you so much!!!

He was sympathetic, humorous and didn't sugar coat anything which is exactly what I like - he told me to come down immediately - bearing in mind he had a huge backlog of work already - he clearly heard my exasperation in my voice from the experience I'd received with the non-LR specialist.
Where the non specialist had just put the new parts on with ZERO adjustment that allowed the whole left side drum (inside disc) and handbrake to shoe to disintegrate (a mere 48 hours after the job had been completed) - Paul methodically went through the process of correcting the BODGE job and doing it all correctly.
I watched the entire process (Covid safe) and was stunned by his capabilities and attention to detail. He had the required handbrake shoes in stock so did it all properly and adjusted appropriately. Luckily the discs were salvageable. It took about 4 hours but all in all, it could of taken 10 hours+ - it was fascinating watching an EXPERT at work and hearing of his passion for both Land Rovers and his many stories outside of cars.
Well educated, professional, honest and frankly, my new go to place should anything else occur - he might even throw in a cup of tea during your visit.
Don't hesitate, just ring him!
