K & T Tyres and Repairs

Went here thinking I could save some money, and get a more realistic hands on approach to my tyre problems, it seemed this could be the place as I received a friendly approach from the vendor, and being part worn tyres I would look to save money over new tyres. However, the trouble started soon after my visit to K&T tyres of Tiverton. I had not driven more than 1 mile down a main road and discovered extreme wheel balancing issues, it was obvious that, the wheels had not been properly balanced, so I decided to leave well alone and take my car to a more mainstream tyre retailer/fitter that I knew I could trust. They were amazed that 1 of the tyres sold to me by K&T tyres had obvious bald patches where it was said a previous owner of the tyre possibly used to break sharply, and therefore the tyre wasn't fit for purpose. I decided to (after the weekend was over) to phone K&T tyres in Tiverton to tell them of my findings, and that I wanted a refund for the dodgy tyre. I was told I would not be entitled to a refund, and at best I would have to wait several days before the vendor would have sufficient stock for this particular size of tyre. Since I was not supplied any form of invoice and a cash payment, it wouldn't be easy for me to challenge this, so all I am saying is, buyer beware!

Went here as I had a light on my dash , Kim fixed the fault and sorted my tyres that I needed, did a pre - Mot and my car passed with flying colours she’s so friendly and explains everything so I could understand it .. il not be using anyone from now on !

I was scared to get my first tyres changed on my own but I was recommended to go to K and T Tyres by a friend
When I arrived I was automatically put at ease by the lady , she talked me through my options and went ahead with a new set of front tyres 👍 would definitely use them again

I will explain my one star review. I called K&T about fitting my new alloys to my car, they said that isnt something they would do, when I asked why or for an explanation, their response was simply - "its not something we do". As a small business owner myself I am always interested in customer service, that is why it was a one star. I had much better responses from the other tyre fitters in town.

Popped to K & T today with my wife's Fiat 500 that had a slow puncture and required another tyre changing.
Tremendous faultless service from Kim who I would highly recommend.
This will be our tyre and repair place of choice in future
