Allcar Garage & Service Centre

Great service and lovely blokes. My mum, my sister and I have been using Allcar for years with only good things to say about them.

Today I needed a couple of bulbs replacing. Halford tried to do one of them. After half an hour they eventually told me it would need the bumper taking off at a garage. Allcar did both bulbs in about 5 minutes - the bumper stayed firmly in place!

I can honestly say, Andy and the team, are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and fair. The cars they sell are far better than most ive seen, and represent value for money. Lets not forget we are looking at 10/12 year old cars. Because they have years of experience as mechanics, the cars are very mechanically sound and come with 12 months MOT. Good old fashioned car sales without salesmen, fees and hassle. The way I like it. I will continue to use Allcars for our family services & Mot's.

We bought a beautiful Peugeot 207 convertible. Very friendly, helpful and polite. I really don’t understand the bad reviews. This is the first time I’d been here I took a wrong turning!! I would definitely use them agein and recommend. Thank you Andy. You’re a star ⭐️

Unprofessional and lier.
Not 1 star, below a stars. Do not visit this place,it is not a garage it is rubbish.
I have bought a car at this garage . Our agreement was, I buy a car  - He does a service and MOT.

What does it mean a service? Something should be change or check in  a car. After using around 1 week a discovered what engine oil is more than max level and olso coolant is below min level. Is it normal for professional mechanic ?

About the MOT. According  MOT certificate I need to change ( just) left side suspension arm as quick as possible . When I checked conditions of suspension arms  from both sides, the right side suspension arm was in more  worse conditions. If I will do MOT as regular on another garage I will get a failed.

One tire was completely worn out  and did not has 1.6 mm as required of regulation of MOT test.

ABS light  was on, after 10 -15 minutes of driving.

My opinion the car was not ready to drive on a road.

I have fixed everything in another garage , because I don't  believe a man who calls himself a mechanic.

I was  so discouraged by this attitude towards the buyer that after reading other reviews I decided to write my own review.

If everything was fine I did not it. I just would like this  situation

to not happen to other buyers.

Very good cars at very competitive prices very professional and polite no pressure staff. Car was delivered to a very high standard thank you Andy.

Rip off place. Don't take your car here if it's German. The mechanic hasn't got a clue about German cars and seems to be afraid to even work on them! I always say a good mechanic can work on any car without hesitation or excuses. Anyway, I went to have my aircon regassed and he found a leak in the aircon radiator. Very fishy because it wasn't there before when i had it last charged and its protected behind the bumper. Then he charged me £39.50 to tell me I had a leak! A total of 10 minutes work, of which he spent half of it chatting to his co-worker. He quoted me £1000 to replace the radiator and air compressor! I checked online and the parts only come to £200 tops. I dread to think what his hourly labour rate is. Will not be going back here.

Some good cars,a couple we liked,but just not quite what we wanted

We bought a used car for my sons first car from here. The cars are usually very good from here and we'll looked after. So I had no doubt in buying one from here.
