Purchased a 3 year old Nissan Qashqai from Barclay Wood Motor Co back in September and have had problems from day one. I have contacted the owner and he quite simply doesn't care.
In the first month of having it, I had to claim on my insurance to fix the windscreen which was badly fitted by this company, replace brake pads, carry out internal and external bulb changes, battery issues, replace all wipers and fix the auto wiper system. The car has also been juddering from day one and the latest diagnostic is that it will now require a new clutch which costs hundreds of pounds. All this was immediate from driving this vehicle away from Barclay Wood motors.
When I mentioned the issues to the company the owner Nic simply said that it was a good price and when I told him that as a dealer he had a legal obligation to outline these faults before selling this vehicle he failed to respond. He also told me that this vehicle only had one previous owner but when the paperwork came through, there was two listed on the paperwork as well as failing to also give me the radio code.
All in all, a terrible purchase with hundreds of pounds of repairs, lots of stress and a dealer that doesn't care.
My advice is to take a mechanic when going to see any vehicles sold by this dealer as you have virtually no chance doing anything about any problems after you drive away.
