BEST Service Centre

Took my car in this morning to these guys. I stopped by on the off chance they could fit me in for an appointment some time this week and before I knew it my beloved Betsy was up on the ramp with 2 super lads checking out her wheels! They sorted me out a new bolt and wheel alignment there and then and spotted that I needed a bearing, which they ordered immediately and fitted within a couple of hours. They even gave me a lift in to town so I could make my 10am appointment! And I received a text as soon as my car was ready.
So far these guys really live up to their name and I think I have just found my new favourite garage in Guildford.

The Mot. I have been negative with two small things, I have gone to this garage The best service, and they have given me an estimate of £530, I have been asked not to repair it, because the car is cheap and it is not worth paying so much. When I went to pick it up, I paid £90 for the service, when I didn't need it (at the Mot they told me about the problem with the car, it doesn't need another service). I paid and started the car and it wouldn't start, the mechanic came and did something and then yes. The following day the car shows me a yellow light on the board, which means that something serious is happening to the car, which can be blocked in the middle of the street. That same day the window went down and it hasn't gone back up, I was trying to assert myself and I couldn't and also the whole car was shaking, I had the feeling that it was going to collapse at any moment. All these things did not happen to the car before the garage, I know my car, I know how it was before, I had little to fix, but after the garage I can't fix it anymore, because the people in the workshop have had more problems than usual. What did I have? I forgot to say that when the garage called me to pick up the car, the garage manager offered me £150 to leave the car with him. it is a shame. When you go to have your car repaired and get ripped off like that. Now I called the car depot, to throw it away because it would cost me a lot to repair it, after visiting “The best service”. Guys you have to be legal in your work, what you do is a scam.

I cannot recommend Best Service Centre , Guildford , highly enough . I had a complicated problem with an extensive oil leak , which needed specialist valeting prior to repairs. Ryan and his team were fantastic in all their knowledgeable help and advice, and going the extra mile to help sort out my problem. A truly exceptional service . I recommend you look no further to find your local mechanic , this company is really the best ! And this comes from someone who never writes reviews !!!

Great local garage. Very happy to talk through repair options, what is needed and why. Work carried out to an excellent standard. I'm reasonably aware of how cars work, yet still have that fear, that through ignorance, I'll end up getting ripped off. They actually told me not to get a couple of advisories fixed, because they really weren't necessary at the moment and it would have blown my budget. That kind of service is a proper gem to find. I fully recommend, even though i might have to wait a bit if it makes them busy!

Had my MOT & some repairs with them last year and went back for my MOT this year and will use them on a future repair coming up. I 100% trust this garage completely. They are honest, fast, don’t overcharge, don’t add on unnecessary jobs to get more money out of you, in fact if they know how to save you money on a job they tell you. If another garage is quoting silly money for a job they tell you. This is why they will always have my business and I recommend them to my friends. Great garage.

I had a horrible experience with them. Went for an MOT which failed for bushes and fluctuating during braking (the same thing the car before me failed for and just as it happens same as the car that went through mot while I was waiting for my retest which costs an additional £20.)
It's a scam, they wanted £1600 to do 3 hours work while parts cost £300.
Took it to a different mechanic who laughed and said there was nothing wrong with discs, pads were new and bushes were fine. Replaced them all regardless because it's now listed on mot system so any garage will want to replace them if i take it anywhere else. Cost me £300 in parts and 3 hours of my time, someone who has little to no experience of mechanical worth.
When I took it back for what I thought would be a free retest like most places they were less than pleased and passed the mot but didn't bother to note the indicator bulb not working, nor the tyres with minimal tread, probably because there was no money in it for them.

Called them up when I noticed at work my exhaust was falling off. Told me to come over immediately and they'd fix it up.
Very friendly service and convenient at such short notice. Dropped it off at 12:00 and I was ready to drive home at 5.
They thought a big part needed replacing but managed to salvage the old one and save me some money. The price was pretty steep for labour but you can't expect it to be cheap in the centre of Guildford. (Edit - realised they replaced the exhaust box when I got home. Very happy with value now. May need to itemise receipts better!) Very friendly and welcoming lot. Happy with the service and would come again!
