Berkeley Hand Car Wash

Things have changed, I have been using the car wash service for more than 6 years now, it used to be friendly but not any more.
My few experiences(visits and on 13/03/22 around 16:00) in recent have been awful. The guys who work on the ground are super and very friendly. However, the person so called boss who sits on office chair is the rudest person I’ve seen. He doesn’t know how he can be polite to customers and to his team. I’ve always seen him yelling on his field workers. I thought to let people know and help the field service employees there. If he is the owner, he should learn how to respect his employees and customer or leave the position for more suitable leader.
I won’t be going to this car wash service any more.

Very unprofessional and rude staff. AVOID THIS PLACE. If you care about your car then go somewhere else. The first time I went to this car wash I tried to explain that I only wanted the outside done. They couldn’t understand what I was trying to say as they didn’t speak English. Instead of trying to understand what the customer was saying they laughed it off. I felt like I was speaking a foreign language. The car wash was very rushed, probably 3 minutes in total. There were water marks everywhere, the car was still not clean (bearing in mind it wasn’t very dirty to begin with) and I had to do it myself when I got home. My windows came out looking worse than when I went in. No tire shine was included.

Also the sign clearly said small cars are £8. My car is a 1L VW polo. It is as small as it gets and he was trying to tell me my car was the size of a medium saloon. I would’ve been happy to pay the £2 extra but he slammed my door on me and told me to go. As a female I felt unsafe and intimidated.

Car wash is good and fast. On a busy day it can take up to 15-20 minutes otherwise it can be really quick.

Looking at the last review I had to make this comment. I have been using this car wash for the last couple years and have coming here every other week. I find the staff very helpful, friendly and attentive, with the boss frequently coming out and helping out all the staff. By far the best value car wash in the area. Thank you for being the best Berkeley team!

Just Awesome. Had stubborn tape gum on our car (Temp fix) and they managed to get it off without messing up the paint. Great service 👏

Absolutely brilliant hand car wash. They literally worked their backsides off to ensure my taxi was cleaned inside and out properly. Even on the wash, they were making sure they didn't miss a single spot. Great value for money and very friendly. Thank you for the great service.

Been using Berkeley Car Wash for many years, well since they opened on this site. Good, friendly and quick service. The owner is usually around, hands-on cleaning cars with his staff. All staff are polite and friendly too. The prepaid account option is very cost effective. Very pleased with them over all.

I'm usually satisfied with the quality and price, they usually leave my car looking like new. I would recommend Berkeley hand car wash if they are not too busy to pay attention and not rush it through. Today, they didn't shine the tyres, bit disappointed but generally ok
