Arc carpentry and design

Excellent. I hired Dan to re -lay flooring in 2nd bedroom to prevent excess noise. He suggested a good remedy, sourced materials, and over 2 long days he worked tirelessly until the job was completed. Not satisfied with that he came back to fit an additional floorboard not part of the original job as well as screw down other loose boards in an adjoining room. Friendly, as well as very prompt and professional, I would not hesitate to recommend Dan and Arc Carpentry for any relevant jobs- indeed I have already discussed replacing our back balcony fence and railing. First class work, quality advice and reasonable pricing.

I hired Dan and Alex from ARC carpentery initially to fit skirting and architraves and some boxing in of radiator pipes. I was so impressed with the work that they did I asked them to complete the rest of the job. Dan and Alex then designed and built a fitted wardrobe, created a room divider complete with French doors and fitted out various cupboards with shelving etc.. alongside this they also done various little jobs at no extra cost including fixing stuck locks and rebuilding my Son's broken chest of drawers!!! Thanks Alex👍 My main reason for hiring them is that as soon as they looked at what work I needed doing they were really professional in assessing the job. They picked up on little things straightaway that would improve the works and they gave me a very competitive quote and options. They were very happy for me to provide materials and gave me a full list of everything that I would need. Alongside this Dan was also great in picking up additional materials during his own time. The guys gave me a full breakdown and schedule of the works and they completed all the works on time and in the second phase when I told them that I was going away they stayed on and finished the job early so that it would not affect my travel plans. On site the are very courteous and work well with other people around. Their range of equipment is exceptional and includes dust extractor to minimise the dust etc. I will definitely be using Arc again and have recommended to friends. Top Men!!"

Absolutely blown away with the build of our stage for our new studio space. Dan worked in a timely manner and guided me on choice of materials, and dimensions every step of the way. The quality of the build is excellent and I'd highly recommend him to anyone looking for carpentry work.

Do I have the best studio in NW London? I think so!
When we picked Dan, it wasn't just down to price. Unlike other companies who just give you a single figure, he broke his quote down into such detail we knew exactly what we were paying for and how long the project should take. Dan listened to what we wanted and suggested options for us which would deliver what we wanted within our budget. Dan's definitely not a clock watcher and sometimes works well past what would be considered to be normal clocking off time to ensure he gets the job done. We are absolutely delighted with our studio. It's solid, well made and looks stunning. Dan's a real character and very sociable. Highly recommended. I've already got a few friends who having seen my studio want to hire him!

Dan is absolutely brilliant at carpentry. We accidentally came across his company and since then we only use him.

He listens carefully to your ideas and is confident to share other options that might work better.

He is meticulous with his work, incredible respectful of your home and has the lovelies since of humour.

His quotes are meticulously broken down so it is very clear what materials he is using and the quantity and how long it will take him to built the project. It also includes his drawings.

He has built wardrobes, shelves and even repaired the joists of the our wooden floors.

Dan is an incredibly talented and creative carpenter. Dan built a gorgeous ornate wall with transom windows, glass doors and side lights, an attached entry closet and, in a separate room, two wardrobes around a chimney breast. Then at the last minute, we needed an emergency boxing in of a boiler and building of a floor-to-ceiling structure for a washer and dryer. Dan supported us even down to troubleshooting our boiler issue. We’re planning some renovations and will of course bring Dan in to do any carpentry involved with that.

The “and design” in the company name very accurately reflects his skills. Dan brings a creative brainstorming and problem-solving process that is on par with the quality of his carpentry, which was and is invaluable when planning projects with him, big and small.

With every interaction, Dan has been informative, clear, extremely reasonable about price and timing, and most wonderfully, does fantastically high quality work. Honestly, Dan’s everything you’d want in a carpenter. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Most importantly, our dog loves him, and she’s never wrong :)
