Oriental Rug Spa - Rug Cleaning

I had an antique heavy wool rug cleaned and I am so glad that I did! What a difference it’s made. The rug has had some heavy use over the years from us and the dogs!
The service from Dan was really excellent. He thoroughly explained what would happen to the rug and it has come back like new! He has also advised me on future care of the rug.
It has that new carpet smell which is so nice.

The initial discussion and email exchange I had with the firm gave me confidence that they were specialists who understood what was required to deal with a hand-knotted Turkish rug. The result was very good with the mainly deep blue colours intact. The return of the rug was slightly later than initially anticipated but this was because I had brought the rug in at the height of the holiday season in August. I recommend the firm.

We had 3 quality rugs cleaned after years in storage. The results are great. The service was excellent - the rugs were collected and then delivered after cleaning. Communications were excellent. The operation was completed more quickly than expected, which was a bonus. Great service - thanks.

We came across the Oriental Rug Spa a while ago when looking for someone local to clean a pet soiled rug. Dan knows his rugs, he’s professional and has the right gear to clean and refresh rugs. he took it, cleaned it and it came back really refreshed and far brighter. Recently Dan has cleaned 4 more rugs for us, all of which have really benefited from his attention and he arranged a repair to one by local craftsmen. He can’t work miracles but he will do the best for what you give him. Oh, and he’s a charming man too!

This is the second time I’ve used Oriental Rug Spa in the last year or so. The first time Dan cleaned 2 light coloured Middle Eastern silk rugs which were both looking sad and grubby. Their appearance and colour improved dramatically. This year Dan cleaned 3 more pieces, 2 old flat weave Bedouin rugs and one other piled rug, not cleaned in decades. All three are much improved with much brighter crisper colours - they’re all dark reds so difficult to clean without colour bleeding but they are immaculate. Much appreciated.

Our rug had been sitting in water for a number of days due to a burst pipe. The rug was very wet and had a strong smell. We contacted Oriental Rug Spa and within 24 hours had received a quote and they started work on the rug immediately. The rug is now sitting proudly back at home looking perfect and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Very pleased with my cleaned rugs, they look like new. The local collection and delivery service was very helpful. Dan responded quickly to my request for a quotation and kept me informed throughout.
