Quoted to do a job for me, and then didn't show up at the agreed time.

I bought flooring from a carpet shop in Merthyr, this guy was the carpet fitter. We were told that we had to have the carpet fitted through him so we went along with everything. They said that he would be in contact with us to arrange times and for him to give us instructions on what to do. We didn’t hear from him.
The day the carpet was due to be delivered, we still heard nothing. So we managed to get his number from the shop. He said we would be with us in 1.5hours. 2 hours later he rings and says that he can’t get the carpet off the rack and it hasn’t been cut so he can’t fit it today (the shop denied this). So he agreed to come Monday.
Monday came, still no instructions were given and we had no idea when he would be coming. When he arrived he came in with two other men swore and said that he was going to charge us extra as we hadn’t done anything. We explained that we have had no instructions and we have emptied everything and it would take two minutes for us to carry out. He then went from saying he was going to charge us extra to then saying he couldn’t do it. We were really intimidated at this point because his manner came across as quite aggressive. So I asked him to leave my carpet and I will find someone else to fit it. He told me that we wouldn’t find anyone today and then charged me £100 for delivery.
He then brought our carpet into our hallway and completely blocked off our access to the rest of the house. We felt completely intimidated by his manner and unprofessionalism. I would avoid this man at all costs! Following the event, the shop have apologised for his conduct but I have received no compensation for his actions. Luckily we found someone very professional and friendly to fit our carpet.

Unprofessional, rude and arrogant over the phone... not so much to your face. Avoid this cowboy.
