Strawberry Shortcake Dining

Strawberry Shortcake catered for our wedding in April and a month down the line, now the rose tint is starting to fade from the day, we are still so, so happy with everything they did.

So often wedding food is lacklustre and underwhelming, but Strawberry Shortcake absolutely smashed it out the park in every respect.

From day one they were very supportive. We didn’t have much of an idea of what we wanted, so they gave us a couple of suggested menus and helped us tweak them to our liking (no set menus that you need to choose from here - you get what you want to eat).

On the day itself they made sure everything ran smoothly, ensuring people were in the right place at the right time, and adequately fed and watered.

The food itself was honestly fantastic. Non-pretentious, flavoursome, freshly prepared, and plentiful; it went above and beyond all expectations. The evening food was just as good as the main wedding breakfast. All dietary requirements were catered for, from vegetarians, to vegans, to cutting up food for people with mobility problems.

The father of the bride, who is normally a very fussy eater, produced three clean plates and had only good things to say about every one, and all our guests said how good the food was.

If you’re looking for a wedding caterer then I wholeheartedly recommend Strawberry Shortcake.

I have used Strawberry Shortcake Dining many times, and could not think of anyone else to use when hosting parties. They've hosted two weddings to name a few.

The staff are great, full of enthusiasm and are professional at all times. As a bespoke company, they will develop a menu based on your requirements. Scott also is excellent at recommending new and exciting dishes which are always a crowd pleaser.

We used Strawberry Shortcake to cater for our wedding in early September. From start to finish, we couldn't fault them and would highly recommend the team.

In advance of the wedding, Gwenno and Scott were an absolute pleasure to deal with, responding promptly to all emails and providing some fantastic recommendations for our menu. When our original wedding was postponed from April due to Covid, the team took it in their stride and were extremely helpful and adaptable.

On the day itself, Scott, Kirsty, Gwenno and the team were absolutely brilliant and the food was exceptional. From the canapés to the cheese course, everything was absolutely delicious and impeccably presented. We will be recommending Strawberry Shortcake to all our family and friends!

SSD catered for our wedding a couple of weeks back. The food was magnificent and the feedback from guests has been extraordinary. The canapes were out of this world (and kept coming!) - it was a lovely touch to present the Groom and I with our own tray. Each course was delicious in its own right. SSD told me that the sharing desserts added a WOW factor - and they certainly delivered on that. The mini fish & chip cones during the evening party were a welcome addition and a fabulous end to what was a lovely day. Both ourselves and our guests were blown away by the quality of the produce and the execution - nobody went hungry; there was plenty of everything to ensure that even the most ferocious appetite was fully sated. A big shout out to Scott and his team of chefs - so thankful to have had you on board!

A HUGE thank you goes out to the rest of the team too - special thanks to Gwenno for managing the logistics and for putting up with my constant toing & froing over the past 12 months and keeping me calm when anxiety was kicking in; and a well deserved thank you goes to the service team on the actual day who were absolutely awesome - you were all so friendly, approachable and accommodating - nothing was too much trouble - and you made the day flow with ease.

This outfit is first class and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for catering - you should actually feel blessed and thank your lucky stars if you manage to secure their services as you are in for a real treat!

We have finally had some time to sit down and write a review about how AMAZING this catering company is. It has been nearly two months since our wedding on the 28th May and our guests still talk about how delicious the food was on the day.

Strawberry Shortcake provided a 5* service from start to finish. We had a beautiful range of arrival canapés to welcome our guests (the miso pork belly was delicious and a firm favourite amongst guests). We opted for plated starters and desserts and a communal main. We were fortunate enough to have beautiful weather on the day and the sharing style salads that accompanied our chicken and beef worked perfectly. They were colourful, fresh and very tasty. There was plenty of food for everyone and also excellent choices for our vegetarian guests too. In the evening our guests enjoyed a Welsh cheeseboard and pulled pork filled rolls with fries and coleslaw.

As well as providing the perfect wedding food, the service provided by the staff was exceptional. Scott, Gwenno and the team went out of their way to make sure that everyone’s needs were catered for. We cannot thank them enough for helping to make our day run as smoothly as possible.

Gwenno, Scott and the team put on an absolutely fantastic spread for our wedding - quality and quantity.

Forget dry, overcooked and bland, like typical wedding food. Scott’s food was cooked perfectly, creative and delicious.
