Celebrating 1000 yrs since the formation of a Benedictine Priory. Today's wonderful R. C. Mass by Bishop Alan Hopes, Bishop of East Anglia was a great Christian Celebration.

Unique combination of a relatively friendly yet impressive cathedral set in the Abbey 'ruines' (garden) landscape. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! Look for a historic combination with Melford Hall (National Trust) in Long Melford (not too far from here) where the abbot once resided as well...

Beautiful building although didn't realise half of it was built in the 1960's! Lovely ceilings. Gorgeous Tea Rooms with home made cakes.

This is a delightful cathedral. An insightful and inspiring tapestry exhibition. An outstanding painted ceiling and font. Excellent stained glass throughout. The rich and varied recent history has done wonders for the whole building and a the Lego project will be a great way to show it all off!

A great place to visit, enthusiastic volunteers and lots of QR codes around for you to find out more information about various parts of the history, building and artefacts.

Signing the book of condolence in the cathedral for her late Majesty the Queen. Well organised in the as expected for a very sad occasion. Cheered ourselves up with afternoon tea at the Angel Hotel.

A lovely place to visit, full of history, as you’d imagine. Set alongside the wonderful Abbey Gardens. They do tower tours a couple of times a week, unfortunately we went on a non tour day and you can’t just go alone, I think the tour would be well worth while as Bury St Edmunds is quite an attractive town so the views could be superb, lots of photo opportunities. Make the most of your visit to the town with a look round this wonderful cathedral.

Bury St Edmunds cathedral was very interesting and a joy to visit. Even the little cathedral made from Lego was amazing. A lovely visit for with family from Canada. Ending in a lunch at Prezzo a very filling lunch 😋😋😋
