A little church with a big voice

The church is small but has a lovely atmosphere. It is welcoming and the doors are always open. The parish is welcoming and friendly to all who attends the church and there is tea and coffee served after each mass. The priest in residence who celebrates mass is Father Paul Leonard and he is warm and kind hearted. His sermons are thought provoking and inspiring. Father Paul always has time for anyone who needs him and is always helpful. A truly wonderful little community.

Friendly, kind, inspiring and welcoming Priest, Fr. Paul Leonard. Homilies are always very meaningful and relevant. Church community is warm and welcoming to everyone.

Just came back from the Sunday service, what a great experience, a priest that was engaging, kept my interest and wanted me to come back for more. Sadly, was only visiting and has set a high bar for when I go to my local church

A small, beautiful Church with a warm and welcoming congregation. Father Paul’s sermons are sincere and inspirational. The streamed Masses during “lockdown” are a welcome blessing.

Sacred Heart, Hook is a delightful, pretty little church with a warm and welcoming parish community and a gem of a parish priest in Father Paul. We do not live in the parish but feel at home whenever we visit with our son and daughter-in-law. So much so that we choose to tune into the Sacred Heart live streamed Mass every Sunday.

A great place to congregate and pray.
Father Paul's wit and understanding of the gospel makes mass an ever enriching experience in faith not only for me but for my children who only want to go to mass at Hook.
