Absolutely a stunning Church... truly is a grand gem in the crown of our Holy Mother Church. If you have not been, I promise you cannot leave this Holy place the same as you were when you walked in. Definitely worth stopping in sometime, or attending one of the weekly Masses, or Solemn Mass on Sunday at 1100.

A beautiful church set in the urban squalor of Portsmouth. The Masses offered would appeal to those who reject banality in the Liturgy. The Feasts of St Agatha (Patron) and Our Lady of Walsingham are usually marked with a High Mass, fanciful Music and guest preacher. Check the website for details.

What Portsmouth essentially has in St Agatha's is a little piece of Northern Italy in Cascades car park. It truly is a treasure hiding in plain sight-simply stunning.

It's a basic place to have prayers and it's always open

This former Anglican Church built in the latter part of the 19th Century by a High Church priest from Ireland was originally in the Diocese of Winchester up until the late 1903s when it was deconsecrated. It was used during the Second World War as a Royal Naval Storehouse.
After laying unused for several years it was taken over by a group of nonconforming Anglicans who did not recognise the authority of Canterbury. This group renovated the building and it became again a place of worship.
When the establishment of the Ordinariates occurred early in the 21st Century the congregation opted to become part of the Church of Rome and thus St Agatha's became a Roman Catholic Church but NOT affiliated to the Diocese of Portsmouth.

The most beautiful cathedral in Portsmouth. Many Baroque and Gothic relics and works of art are preserved with love here. A must see in Portsmouth.

It is a place, when there are too many stuff, rather like a museum and not like a Church
