Newman Hall Catholic University Halls of Residence

Newman Hall is a truly special place! It is conveniently located adjacent to the student high street and is a five minute walk from the city centre. The grounds are quiet and serene, yet the community is remarkably vibrant and charitable.
I was a student at Newman Hall in its first year of opening. Here, I was welcomed by Fr. Jones, Br. Ambrose, and the Sisters of Nazareth. I cannot emphasise enough how great it was to live here! I miss it very much. +

I’ve lived here for almost an year now and this has been one of the greatest experience I had in Cardiff. Highly recommended for stay of any length. I love this place, I love the people, Brother Ambrose, Father Alex and Father Jones! They are equally open to everyone, including non-Christians like me! We have had thoughtful discussions and a wonderful time together!

Newman Hall was an epic experience and one of the best places to live. Here I had the opportunity to develop spiritually and in wisdom. Fr Sebastian, Br. Ambrose and the Sisters of Nazareth are always ready to lend a hand to students in need. We all lived together as a community and it brings back good memories writing this review.

I used to visit Newman Hall very frequently while I was a student at Cardiff University and I can highly recommend it! In fact, I lived there for a year - it is a great place filled with friendly people who put a lot of effort in making the chaplaincy special!

A very welcoming and friendly atmosphere offered by the priests making you feel comfortable and safe in a foreign country. As a student, I visit this place for short and longer periods and every time I discover new benefits in staying in this peaceful residence. The location is close to Cardiff University and city centre making it a convenient spot both for studies and tourism. There are fully equipped rooms for students and visitors accompanied by a communal kitchen and a library. A lot of activities organised offer students interesting opportunities to be engaged in. I really like this place and strongly recommend it.

Always a lovely and friendly atmosphere at Newman Hall, the Oratorians certainly know how to make one feel welcome! If you're ever in Cardiff, don't hesitate to stop by!

It was a very nice experience. Father Alex and Father Sebastian are very helpful. Rooms are nice along with the very large kitchen, fully equipped. A lot of good and friendly residents. Very good location. Strongly recommended.
