The school did have problems a couple of years ago but it is now out of special measures and steadily improving. This year's results may well surprise many!
The students are a delight and there's a calm working ethic when you go in.

Having been a former student of St Edmunds (leaving in 2014),I say that it is generally is a bad school. Most of the teachers lack control, quality of the classrooms are bad and bullies are not properly dealt with. I've had to defend myself twice and pushed down the stairs by fellow students. Giving this place a one star is pushing it, do not send your kids to this school.

I am a former student at st Edmunds and I have to say that you are wrong that school has many caring staff and no we haven't got anyone failing in fact as a school we are doing really well with the GCSEs and many of the older students have gotten into very good university's so you can not say anything bad about my school

Terrible school, failed generations of students....previous head ran away on full pension during an OFSTED inspection in December 2012, despite awful results at GCSEs, let alone A'Levels...That's accountability for you.

in all farness the schools teachers are good however the bully's let it down and IF they are dealt with they aren't dealt well enough to the extent in which they stop bullying and the lack of respect some students are saying the teachers give can be bad but overall it's ok

Disgusting school would not send my child there...prime example of singling out children if they don't fit their criteria. ..shame on them

As a former student I went through complete hell at St Edmunds. I was bullied throughout my time there, being thrown down the stairs, pushed into walls, called the most disgusting slurs and more. After repeatedly reporting it the teachers (who did nothing), I went to SLT, (they also did nothing), I even went to the Head Teacher and was told I was being "over dramatic".
I strongly recommend anyone considering to go to this school to rethink their options. I truly hope that it has improved, however I doubt it.
