A beautiful place where all staff are very friendly and helpful. It doesn't feel morbid at all and if anything, it feels quite homely and welcoming. There's free tea and coffee facilities and you can bring your dog as long as you keep it on a lead and t clean up after it. The grounds are always very well maintained and the service we had when actually burying was very caring and not rushed.

Beautiful woodland to be buried in, and the building used for the service is stunning. Both the grounds staff and the staff during the admin / booking / support on the day process were very friendly and considerate. It's not cheap, but I'm glad I chose here for my husband's funeral, and I'm sure I'll visit many times.

The first time I visited GreenAcres in Epping I was taken back by the tranquility and how calming it felt.
My father-in-law had decided he would like to have his funeral service at GreenAcres and have his ashes interned there and the family then carried out his wishes.
At that point for me it seemed to turn into a money making machine rather than looking after a grieving family.
The last straw was the internment itself after having my own parents interned at Enfield Crematorium earlier in the year on a Saturday morning and with no extra charge and having a poem and the Lord’s Prayer read by a staff member, a groundskeeper was on hand to sort the plot out too.
I was surprised when we were asked to pay a further £150.00 so we could have the internment over the weekend making it easier for family members to attend.
So all was arranged for a Sunday and in good faith I called in at the office to pay the extra charge only to be charged £300.00 because it was a Sunday even though all along we were informed the charge was £150.00.
We were then taken to the plot for my farther in-laws internment which had been organised and set out for our arrival, the lady then took the ashes and placed them in the hole and then asked us to return to the Gathering room while they make good the plot.
No poem or prayer and five minuets at the plot, I understand they have costs to cover and yes may pay their staff extra for weekend work but £150.00 - £300.00 if nothing else they could include this in the funeral costs from the start.
After complaining about the extra £150.00 for a Sunday they did reimburse £150.00.

Just spoilt the whole experience of finally laying my father in-law to rest.It made a painful experience even more distressing for my mother-in-law.

We attended our father's funeral here on Friday and I can honestly say it was one of the most beautiful tranquil places I have ever been. During the ceremony squirrels and birds were in and out of the trees, the view was beautiful and when the pall beariers carried our dad through the glass doors and through the gardens it didn't feel that sad finality!! The staff were outstanding and the following day the animals munched on the flowers and wreaths left. If only all resting places could be this awesome it would make the pain so much easier. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to all the people involved in laying our dad to rest. ❤️

This place is very beautiful and peaceful. I imagine anyone cremated would be honoured to rest in peace here. Also it's beautiful grounds means you can happily walk in the green acres forest grounds and visit your loved ones whom have passed Loving the blue bells. X

As an Essex Funeral Celebrant, GreenAcres Epping Forest is a very special place for me to conduct a funeral service. If we are asked for recommendations from families who have lost a loved one, very often we advise them to pay a visit and see for themselves the beautiful and tranquil surroundings for a final resting place - whether that be for a burial or scattering of ashes. The staff too are extremely friendly and helpful.
