Within Dalton cemetery are TWO different church buildings.
I have tried to extensively find out the history behind them both and I am led to believe the smaller one is medieval and what is known as DALTON CHURCH, and the larger one is what was once ANTI CROSS church, however over time anti-cross , the whole area of Dalton known as, at least, has been practically forgotten about and now is simply "Dalton".
I have tried to date both by window shape however due to the windows being part covered I have found this sadly impossible.
The cemetery surrounding both is made up of tarmac paths, and very old paths, and a lot of the older graves are sadly broken, leaning or Moss has took over, HOWEVER given that they date back as long as they do this isn't a suprise.
I am posting these pictures respectfully, as I feel it is such a shame to not have an insight into both these amazing places history when they have so much of it.
Overall this is a very well kept and tended place what locals (and I'm sure visitors alike) keep clean and in order.
I hope the information I have provided is correct however lack of information has affected this so I apologise.
