Billing Road Cemetery is now a disused cemetery mainly used by dog walkers. It also has Commonwealth War Graves. Approx. 10-15 Acres in area, there is gravel path which gives way to a grassy walkway. Main entrance after No.75 Billing Road has heavy wrought iron gates and a smaller entrance at the NW corner gives access to road leading to Wellingborough Rd. A lot of older graves are in bad condition and the lodge at the Billing entrance is dilapidated and cordoned off. In summer popular with young people who congregate in small groups with bear cans, mainly Eastern European.

A nice space for dogwalking, but too many homeless camps and druggies for my taste

I come here for quiet reflection. Now, as a cemetery, it's run down and uncared for. However, trees burst through many of the graves, giving the place a definite sense of rebirth. So, it depends on what you're looking for. It's different things to different people; but on a cool Autumn afternoon, it's a place of quiet beauty.
