Ailean and the team cold not have been more helpful. This is the perfect setting for a service to celebrate someone's life. Surrounded on all sides by a stunning nature reserve which is teeming with wild life. Depending on the season, you will see a wild flower meadow in full colour through to the frost sparkling seed heads of winter. We were very impressed by the fact that we were able to fully design a service that reflected Martin's personality and values. From catering and flowers to the gentle stroll through the meadow following Eddie the horse to the waters edge for the internment of ashes. It is well worth taking a fresh view of how you would like to celebrate a loved one and stepping outside of the general standard as we have. Thank you to all of the staff who made this such a special day.

My brother's funeral was here on 2nd March. The service in the pavilion and arrangements were really good. I know it's a natural burial ground but the walk along the path to his burial plot was treacherous in the thick mud caused by the rain. I think at some stage someone will really injure themselves so environmentally friendly paving ought to be high on the agenda for Clandon Wood. People were in their best clothes and footwear not dressed for a muddy walk and some attendees were pretty immobile so it was frightening to watch them slipping and sliding, not what you want at an already emotionally charged time.

Clandon wood is a beautiful place. A beautiful, tranquil setting amongst the Surrey Hills. It really is a very beautiful peaceful resting place, I feel this is a lovely calm resting place for my Mum. I will visit Mum regularly when trying to capture the essence and beauty of Clandon Wood.

My amazing mum was laid to rest here last September. Everything about this place and the lovely people who run it (Aileen, George and Marion) is perfect. They handled the funeral beautifully, exactly how we wanted it. It's the most peaceful and beautiful place and the absolute best thing we could ever have wished for under the devastating circumstances. 5 star for both the funeral and the amazing after care, thank you for being so friendly, welcoming and being a friendly face for my Dad who goes once or twice a week 🙏xxx

Picturesque reflective setting with a pleasant meeting room allowing views across the field. Plenty of parking and a discreet toilet block. I much preferred this way of celebrating a life than the usual crematorium 15 minute slot then off to a venue.

The perfect place to host a natural burial. It is a lovely setting, and will only get more picturesque as the trees mature. We laid our mum to rest in January, and the team at Clandon Wood were so helpful in organising our day, it couldn't have gone more smoothly, and the glass pavilion overlooking the meadow was a beautiful setting to hold the ceremony. I am looking forward to spending special time here when the flowers are in bloom.

A peaceful resting place for my loving Mum.

As a photographer, I was well aware of the natural beauty of the burial ground and knew that my mother would appreciate having her resting place there. What I wasn’t aware of was the importance of having a thoughtful and well organised team behind the scenes.

The last Sunday of the month, the day of Tea, Cake and Company, was a perfect day for my mum’s funeral. The Clandon Wood team and our celebrant, Helen, created a warm, welcoming and unhurried atmosphere for everyone and gave us the time we needed, and more, to say our goodbyes to such a special and much loved person. All whilst being surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Clandon Wood’s nature reserve.

The level of care and attention to detail from the Clandon Wood team was a great comfort to me and my family. They took the time to listen to our thoughts and stories about my mum and showed great kindness and empathy when helping to select her grave site. My father who had passed away several years earlier was a keen golfer and the absolute love of my mother’s life. Now when I visit my mum, I can look out over the golf course and think of them both together forever.

I visit Mum regularly when trying to capture the essence and beauty of Clandon Wood and I’m so happy that I found the perfect place for my loving Mum. That is what makes Clandon Wood so very special for me.
