September 2016 - Whilst researching my family history and attempting to locate where they were buried - on the two separate occasions I visited the cemetery I received excellent assistance from two members of staff. Cemetery Approach, which for a long time was neglected, has been taken on by a young man on the staff who has planted willow/hazel arches; added wild flowers to the slope by the allotments and interesting plants to the dried out stream bed - including gunnera and iris. Now he’s started on the area as you enter the cemetery, and is pampering the ducks with fresh water and an island nesting site! All organic cultivation with elements of rewilding. Adds freshness as you enter or leave the cemetery.

There are so many graves and headstones in desperate need of attention but the grounds surrounding them are basically well maintained
