I loved this place! If you are looking for a huge castle then that's not it. But if you are looking for a lovely ruin with no tourists then it is perfect. It also has the friendliest chickens running around the castle grounds!

I love the burial meadow at Usk because of the beautiful woodland and amazing views across the meadow which has a very welcoming feel. I have conducted a number of funerals there as a celebrant and always take a moment to stop and take in the surroundings. I love how relaxed and personal the funerals are, while its a great place to take the dog or even the family because it has a positive feel to it and it has some amazing places to explore like the fox hole at the burial meadow itself or Usk castle just down the road. It is a very special and peaceful resting place.
