Heart wrenching to see all the graves of the 116 children who died in this tragedy. Now 52 years later, the children's graves are often accompanied by those of the parents. The epitaphs written on the grave stones commemorating the passing of each child are very moving e.g. "Though her smile has gone forever and her voice we cannot hear, we shall never lose sweet memories of the one we loved so dear" and many more like this. Visiting here is a pilgrimage everyone should make once in their life.

Probably the most humbling place I've ever visited, and it was hard not to get emotional. I wasn't born when the disaster happened, and hadn't even heard of it until the twentieth anniversary, and yet standing there feels so raw half a century on. I notice that from the early 2000s, parents' names are appearing on the memorial as they've started to pass on over the years as well. Very sad, and yet beautifully maintained place.

Not really a place for a "review" although I offer one. The shock of what happened here is raw when you visit the cemetery, the memorial dignified and moving. It is a place to pause and reflect. The rating is not for tourism but for the horror of so great a loss and the quiet grace with which it has been borne.

Paid a visit to Aberfan in the last month during my recent trip to Wales (UK). Sad to hear what happened to these children who were killed in this tragic disaster while just beginning their school day. The cemetery is easy to spot from the main roads nearby with the white arches that stand out.

Such a beautiful place to pay your respects to the lives lost in the Aberfan disaster. We happened to be driving past on our way home from a trip around Wales.

Neither of us have a direct connection with the area or the people here but we felt we should pay our respects, regardless.

And we're glad we did. Reading the gravestones and seeing just how many there were, instead of just reading about it, is a whole other experience.

So peaceful just sit and remember all the little children who lost their lives back in 1966 .

I remember the disaster .I was 8 at the time and visited the cemetery. Some of the children were the same age as me. The memories have stayed with me all these years. It was such a sad and heartbreaking thing to happen. My heart goes out to all those who lost a loved one.
