New Horizon Centre

Lovely cafe, great lunch club for the over 50s. Indoor Market twice a week. Somewhere to meet people and make friends. No need to be lonely.

I wanted mum to join the lunch club because I thought it would be good for her condition. After giving my mum's personal details to Joy or Joyce the co ordinator I did not hear from the lunch club after the co ordinator promised to contact us and this was last year November/December. I tried calling several times but all I got was an answering machine.. I could have given them a good review because the place seemed cosy enough but there is lack of communication.

This is a meeting point for the community in Pollards Hill. They run some programmes for the elderly people. Market on Monday and Friday mornings.

The New Horizon Centre is a large community centre in Pollards Hill, London Borough of Merton, in the east of the borough and just a few metres from the borough of Croydon. It has free parking and step-free access throughout.

There is a Main Hall with capacity for up to 200 people; two smaller rooms with capacities of 40 and 60 people, a Teaching Room with capacity of 40, a cafe with lounge area for up to 30 people and a Board/Meeting Room with capacity for up to 20 people.

Attended this place for a wedding. The main hall is quite spacious with a stage area to the front and a small kitchen. There were two smaller rooms available which was handy.

Excellent community space with parking and well served by public transport.
