Maggie's Centre in the grounds of Charing Cross Hospital in Parsons Green is a wonderful resource for people suffering from cancer, their families and friends. It's a lovely light and airy space and on my visit during the Maggie's Centres Culture Crawl in September 2013 I had the opportunity to speak to the staff - their dedication is remarkable. I hope you never have to make use of their services...

Traveled down from South Wales just to see Maggie's , the staff and volunteers were lovely, so welcoming. As someone who has his cancer under control, I plan to visit as many centres as possible in my lifetime.

Amazing centre! Maggie’s really supported my family through a very hard time, they gave free financial advice, therapy sessions for my father to attend and discuss his worries. Maggie’s was a place my dad could escape and speak to people that understood cancer and the hard road ahead. My father sadly died aged 69 on July 6th 2018. This centre made every difference!

Maggie’s tracked down my fathers last peice of art work that was completed in his final art class a few weeks before his death...they called me with the lovely news and safely delivered to my home. All I can say is what an amazing charity!! We need to help support them so they can carry on their fantastic work! I will cherish this picture forever.

Always in my heart Maggie’s and thank you for what you done for me and my family. x

I only found out about Maggies last week, but can say after my first visit I felt relieved knowing such a place exists.
The whole 'Cancer' thing can be overwhelming and doctors can only do so much..... The ladies that welcomed me were really kind and after an oncology appt were just the tonic. I got some good advice regarding finances and that has been a great help as I have felt very isolated and unsure of things.
They have lots of activities set up through the week, and the place was buzzing.

Scared at first but but although in hospital grounds no signs of nurses or doctors and name badges which made me feel like a normal guy on the street. Why worry but to go forward and support you on quell positives on your anxieties .

The Maggies Centre is a life-saver, with supportive staff and caring volunteers meeting with clients within award-winning architecture and Dan Pearsons wonderful garden setting. In recovery from prostate cancer, it helped to save my life. I find it hard to believe that anyone would rate Maggies as less than 5 stars.

Such a lovely, calming atmosphere here, a perfect retreat from being in the hospital environment. The volunteers are so kind and genuinely caring, I found spending time here has made a difference to my mental wellbeing and lessened the stress from going through my chemotherapy treatment. Thank you all very much.
