Recently purchased a Raleigh town bike via eBay, collected it at the Guildford site.
Everyone was friendly and welcoming, had a stroll around looking at the various bikes and was great to see the vast array of different types. A brilliant concept, thousands of bikes simply end up in the landfills , yet here they are brought back to useable condition, not only stopping excess waste but making biking accessible to many.

I was looking for a town bike, to get me out on a bike more, leaving the car behind for shorter journeys, however with the pandemic and rising costs, many bikes run into the hundreds, out pricing most people. I like that the bikes are affordable to the public without sacrificing quality.

The Raleigh was wheeled out and I was really impressed straight away, it looked brand new and was clearly restored well. Riding it, the brakes were very crisp and everything felt strong, no rattles etc. The wheels were very true and the bike just felt right. Wouldn’t have believed it was over 20 years old, I’ve had brand new bikes from larger chains which had a worse feel out the box (brakes rubbing, gear change issues etc) so a credit to Bike Project Surrey who clearly do the maintenance correctly.

What’s even better is the purchase price goes into the charity so you get a great bike and help fund further projects, win win. If you’re thinking about buying a bike from here or getting one serviced, I couldn’t recommend enough, I’ll be back

It was a positive experience from start to finish!!! Bright enthusiastic people who have a passion for biking. My bike was a mess and needed lots of TLC! I even considered donating it and buying a new one but immediately I was told it was definitely worth salvaging. Next working day, bike is back home and a joy to ride again! Thank you - they even put on a free water bottle holder! Such a fantastic initiative - recommend! Much rather give them my money that a big chain strore!

Donated a top quality bike that was going to cost a fortune to fix at a local bike shop and bought another top quality bike from them for a third of the cost of fixing up the donated bike. Very happy! Excellent service.

I would give Gus and the Bike Project 1,000 stars if I could! Sadly, my bike got stolen from my garage and I desperately needed one to ride to school with my son. The Bike Project centre has a wide choice of second-hand bikes (some barely used!); I could test the bikes on the road around the centre and Gus went above and beyond to fit the bike I liked with everything I needed and to load them onto by car bike rack. They are professional and so very helpful. Their prices to service a bike are probably the best in Surrey too! In addition, I just love the principles behind the project: recycle and teach a skill to people who haven’t got a job. Highly recommend paying them a visit!

Went in today to buy a used bike. Little tricky to find the place as the postcode on the website takes you to a dead-end. Managed to finally get there. Was dealt by a knowledge chap called Andrew. He explained and showed me several bikes that fitted my budget. Did a test ride and bought it. He also helped me fit the lock holder on the bike. Thanks Andrew

What a find! Highly recommend Bike Project to anyone looking for a sensibly priced, roadworthy secondhand bike (and also to anyone looking to donate a bike - no scrap though as that just costs them money to get rid of!). I've just bought a mountain bike to replace my son's bike which was stolen last week. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a good selection of bikes of all types and sizes - my son is over the moon as I've just sent him a photo of his "new" bike.

The Bike Project (Guildford) is a brilliant place to buy second hand bikes in good working order or get your own bikes serviced for a reasonable price. You can also donate bikes for charity. They will repair them and sell them on, all for a good cause. The staff are very knowledgeable and super helpful and they also take on apprentices to teach them how to fix bikes. Overall, a brilliant and useful community project. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Had an accident with my bike which damaged the hanger. Rang a few places and most couldn’t fit me in for a few weeks at least. Went down to the Bike Project and they sorted it within the week (that included time for them they had to order a part!). Really friendly team and price was great too. They would definitely be my first port of call if I have any issues with my bike in the future.
