Very interesting building architecturally and historically in the most beautiful setting. It will not be an organised visit though. We drove into the car park and wandered around the building and saw no one other than the few tenants who live there. Reception was unmanned.

A wonderful example of a preserved 1830s workhouse. A beautiful settling for what must have been the ultimate in degradation for many impoverished people. Handy now that the Tories are bringing extreme poverty back.

Really interesting workhouse. Lots of information boards. You could go inside certain parts but it looks like it's had a lot of renovation. I would have liked to see other parts to give more of an idea of what it was like inside the workhouse, such as sleeping conditions etc.

Watch the video very well presented, the atmosphere of this place, so glad they restored it for people to learn of its history worthy of a visit 👍

Interesting place to visit. Has changed a lot since it was a workhouse but you get a sense of what it must have been like.

The Urban Ghost Stories Team investigated the workhouse and although the night was quiet we can't wait to go again. We are sure the building has much more to offer!

We went on a ghost investigation here. Beautiful place. Cellar was the creepiest 👻
