I have been using Johnsons Chartered Accountant for the last 20 years mainly for accountancy. Johnsons genuinely care about the business, VAT returns, payrolls, fast and simple payment procedures etc. A great tax advisor that understand your business first. I have also been given valuable advices on some areas of my business.
As for the most recent my experience was buying a new house.
Even despite some challenges from my bank along the way, the team handled all difficulties for me, ensured all documents required were quickly seen, right and responded. They worked tirelessly to get me the best loan rate and package available.
It is a pleasure to work with such professional people, friendly and super supportive.

I have been with Johnsons Chartered Accountants since 2004 and would not change them for the world. David was great and Stuart continues the great work heading a wonderful team. I mainly deal with Manish now, he is always helpful, knowledgable and friendly.

We use Johnsons for business and personal financial affairs - they were enormously helpful when we started our business 4 years ago and the service we get from their Pitstone branch is exceptional - in particular thank you to Karen, Diana, and Jason. I have also had excellent pension advice recently from Stuart Thomson - many thanks! I would not hesitate to recommend Johnsons.

I emailed Johnsons with a general query about Capital Gains Tax. Stuart Thomson, the Group MD, replied very promptly and with some very helpful input and didn't even charge me. I was really impressed and very grateful. It reminded me of the good old days when professionals, such as accountants, lawyers, estate agents, etc, saw themselves as part of the local community and not just business people. Very reassuring.

We had a particular issue we needed advice on. We were able to easily organise a zoom meeting with Stuart Thomson who quickly grasped our situation and provided us with the information we needed. Even calling back later to clarify a couple of points. We were very impressed.

I needed to get advice urgently and approached Johnson’s. I received a return call within with half an hour and spoke to Stuart Thomson. He was able to give superb detailed advice. Very knowledgable and able to direct me clearly and help me make the decision I needed to make. Very impressed.

Following an excellent initial interaction, communication from my tax accountant literally stopped. I received no updates on how my dossier was progressing, and having spent several weeks preparing all necessary documentation, I was loathe to start again elsewhere. I eventually made a complaint to Edmund, a senior member of the team, and was met with nebulous responses, none of which provided any detail about why things had come to a standstill, nor the status of the discussions and projects which were ongoing. A complete lack of basic client service and communication across the board, there appears to be no people management nor oversight of how clients are managed.
This sub standard client service continues and I have waited 3 weeks for a response to my last email and have now requested a formal internal investigation report. The next step will be to follow the complaints procedure as set out by ACCA.
