Sophie at Hacker Young couldn't have done more to help me get my latest return completed quickly and accurately.

I was made redundant from a company UHY are currently handling the administration for. I was made redundant during my notice period, and was asked to leave immediately. UHY have stated that I left the company a week before the date they made me redundant. In doing so, it is now impossible to claim the one week payment in lieu of notice as I was working during the time they stated my notice period was, because they had not yet made me redundant. They are not engaging with the redundancy service and despite me having evidence of when I was made redundant I have been unable to receive these funds - therefore I am out of pocket by approx £600 post tax. They’re clearly very good at saving companies going through administration money, but it is heartbreaking for the previous employees who are unable to get what we are owed.

I have worked with Barrie as a bookkeeper with shared clients for nearly four years and have always recommended him with total confidence. He is very responsive, always takes the time to explain things to me and his clients in the most simple way to understand, which can be difficult when discussing accounts, to ensure the client makes the right decision for them.
Yesterday was the perfect example of this, when UHY and my client met to discuss transferring into a limited company.
