What a lovely find! A wonderful little artisan cheese shop in Palace Street Canterbury. Good selection of cheeses including my favourite Trethowan's Gorwydd Caerphilly, Perl Las and Kentish Blue. All the cheeses were very reasonably priced, so ..."if you're into a nice brie, it's the place to be!"

The Cheese Shop is a real gem of a place. Julie is absolutely amazing. So so knowledgeable and friendly. The range of cheeses in this gorgeously tiny shop is fantastic! I phoned Julie during lockdown to order some surprise gift boxes for four lots of friends. She was so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I phoned on the Saturday and because I didn't need the boxes to arrive at their destinations until the Wednesday, Julie cut and posted them on Monday, so that the cheeses would be as fresh as possible. All four lots of my friends, in very different parts of the country received their gift boxes promptly the next day and they were all absolutely thrilled with them!

I would highly recommend to everyone and if I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Thank you Julie!

A lovely little cheese gem. A very good selection of cheeses: I like very soft cheeses and this shop always has something very nice, be it creamy sheep cheese, traditional cow or very interesting goat brie. The person behind the till (I suspect she might be the owner) is very nice and thoughtful and would offer useful suggestions (thanks to her I discovered most favourite cheese). They also make coffee!

This shop is great, they sell a nice range of local produce including cheeses, chutneys, wines, and even eggs from local farms. A really good place to pop into if you're looking for good quality locally made items, I definitely recommend it.

We were on an amazing company mystery picnic for 4 people, a birthday present from my children and the first two food pick up places tried to insist it was only for 2 people. Even though I had the booking etc on an email. It caused some upset. However when we got to the cheese shop, wow. What a lovely lady . She said yes she definitely had us down as 4. She asked what kind of cheeses we liked and we replied anything local. Meanwhile the picnic company rang me as I had tried to ring them 3 times but the signal was not great. The guy on the phone made some notes about what had happened and said the booking was definitely for 4 people. I made sure I told how nice the lady in the cheese shop was. And bless her she heard some of the conversation so put some extra cheese in as we were having a bad day. And the cheeses were absolutely delicious....the goats cheese was to die for . So if you want delicious cheese and very friendly service then the cheese shop in Canterbury is the place to go. And to the lovely lady that served us, if you read this review then I'd like to say thanks so much from myself and my friends.

We just saw this little shop and thought we’d have a peek inside. It’s tiny and very very tasty. The lovely lady inside was easy going and answered all of our questions, peppered with plenty of free tasters. We left with a small selection of local cheeses and a cosy night-in ahead oh us.
We also spotted a small wine room in the back of the shop where you can have private cheese/wine evenings.

I came to The Cheese Shop on Friday with my friend. We were intending on just peeping through the window but ended up inside and sharing lots of cheese and wine. Had an absolutely amazing time and had some delicious cheese all for a very fair price. Can’t wait to come back and get some more! Thanks so much, Julie(:

This shop is amazing!!!

We decided to host a cheese tasting evening so went here and found everything required and more.

We had 2 goat, a sheep and 2 cow. Julie provided the descriptions and the back story, including detail on rogue cheesemakers. Who knew!

I made a menu and provided copious amounts of wine. The book group loved it, quaffed it all down with the quince in no time.

Thanks Julie and team. I'll definitely be back.
