Our daughter Amelie started the setting over a year ago now we are very happy we found this setting, it has such a warm family feel to it. We get regular updates of what she is doing throughout the day via photos. They always have great activities going on and she enjoys the phonics class which comes into the setting. Amelie has progressed so much since starting Childcare at The Laurels. She has created some wonderful friendships and we couldn't be more thankful to all of the amazing staff as they go above and beyond. We recently enjoyed a graduation party which all families were invited to, this gave us the opportunity to see all the children playing together whilst we met other parents and got to know the staff more. We couldn't be happier!!

Both my sons started age 9 months at the setting and they are now 2 & 3 years old. During that time, the endless support, nurturing and guidance the Childcare at The Laurels team have given them and us as a family has allowed my children to go from strength to strength. The community and family feel the setting has is just wonderful and unique. You and your children are treated as if they were all the staffs very own family. Louise and all her staff are not only welcoming, caring, supportive and understanding; they are true professionals at their jobs, they fulfil above and beyond the children’s educational needs as well as emotional/physical needs, and they all exude a genuine passion for looking after the welfare of all the children they come across. I know a lot of people with children in nursery/childcare facilities and none of them compare to Childcare at the Laurels!!

Our Son Oliver started going to The Laurels at 8 months of age. Within a few weeks we noticed his confidence growing. He loves it so much that we have increased the number of days he does. Louise and the girls there are amazing and have really helped us with Oliver, and provided support and advice to us as first time parents. I honestly can't recommend The Laurels enough!

Our daughter, Keren started at Childcare at The Laurels about 2 years agao when she was just six months old - we haven't looked back since!

Keren is the youngest of our three girls and so we have experienced our fair share of nurseries and childminders. I can honestly say that Louise and her team provided the highest standard of care that we have ever received – by a huge margin and we have always selected Outstanding settings for our girls.

Childcare at the Laurels is a very unique set up, combining the love, flexibility and relaxed environment of traditional childminder with the structured and education focused setting of a day nursery.

The Laurels is extremely clean, spacious and well organised for the children to enjoy. Louise and her team are always welcoming when we arrive and drop off, listen attentively to updates about our daughter’s night, changes to milk patterns or any special interests she is expressing. We have also opted into daily photo updates so we get to see Keren enjoying herself and playing. This is priceless for us as parents and Keren’s grandma, as nothing can be reassuring to parents at work than to see their smiling baby/toddler being well cared for and happy.

Most notable though is that when we collect Keren, the verbal feedback from the team is filled with anecdotes about Keren’s day which shows us that the ladies have genuinely enjoyed playing with our child and noticed what she has been engaged in. I particularly also like the fact that we also get an electronic copy of her daily feedback form via WhatsApp as we can refer back to it for the basic things like nappy changes, amount of food she’s eaten and whether we need to bring more nappies etc. We know through these various updates that Keren is being extremely well cared for and that she is happy. Keren regularly points out Louise’s house or asks to see photos of ‘Lou Lou’ on our phone so she clearly is extremely fond of her.

Keren also loves playing in Louise’s garden which is huge and child friendly. They even have a forest school area which is just such a lovely touch and shows Louise’s commitment to her childcare.

We love that Keren gets to mix with different aged children here, enjoy a weekly phonics lesson and that she gets to go on trips too, like the Buffy library bus, fruit farm, and the nurture barn. She really does have the most amazing time and we, as parents are completely happy at work knowing that our daughter is being loved and cared for so well.

Thank you team!

My son started here at 8months old and he/we adore the intelligent & hard working team. It’s creative environment , fantastic field trips and a great balance of structure but also free time explore/build friendship. 3weeks ago he started school and feedback is he’s settling in wonderfully. He was very prepared!

My now 18m old daughter loves it too and I cannot imagine my kids being cared for by any other team!

Childcare at the Laurels was our little girls second home for the last 2 years with Louise and the team creating a genuine warm family feel. They provide excellent care, involve the parents in children’s development, and the kids simply love them! Our little one asked each morning (including weekends!) if she is going to the Lou-Lou’s! She is off to big school now but our son still has another few fun filled years in the in the careful care of Childcare at the Laurels. Highly recommended!

Our son Charlie joined childcare at the laurels at the age of 2. After a very poor experience with another nursery we were desperate to find a setting where our shy, nervous and reserved little boy would fit into and be cared for in the same way we cared for him. At his first nursery he would cry and scream the minute we pulled into the car park and was treated as just another number. After searching around we happened to come across childcare at the laurels and I was gutted we didn’t find Louise sooner! Looking around the setting we had the instant feel for the place that it was right for our son. The children were all so engaged and happy. Alongside staff who actually looked like they wanted to be there and you can tell they genuinely love what they do! From the very first settling in session I felt confident that he was in a loving environment and was going to be well looked after.

It took Charlie quite a while to settle in and start to build his confidence up but he never once cried at all like he did with his first nursery. Louise and his key worker gave him the time and patience he needed to settle in all whilst supporting us in the process.

Louise and her team are simply amazing and cannot do enough for the children and their families.

Daily updates on the app provide an insight into his day alongside the door handovers.
The setting has such a lovely homely feeling that you just cannot replicate anywhere else. Lovely big garden for them to explore. Clean and spacious facilities and most importantly welcoming. Extra curricular activities such as sports and phonics alongside trips to the local park and farm.

The input we received for his speech and language and just helping with his all round confidence has ensured he is ready for school. The level of attention to his learning and skills has meant small issues were picked up on and addressed promptly ensuring he was ready to start school.

Charlie was always coming home with stories about the team and his friends and lots of memories for us to hold onto. We are all so sad that his time at nursery has come to an end and just so lucky we managed to find such an amazing setting for our sons early years. We all feel like we have an extended family as we speak so much about them all at home.

Leaving to go to school all he says that he wants is to stay at Lou Lou’s forever and ever and that for us sums it up perfectly.

Our son Harry has been in Louise’s care since he was 6 months old. Louise and her whole team are absolutely outstanding. The level of care, development and love he receives is second to none and he is essentially a part of their family and Louise a part of ours. His speech and general development have progressed extremely rapidly; largely as a result of his time with Louise and the team.

Before we selected Louise, we viewed over a dozen local nurseries and it wasn’t until we found her that we felt comfortable with the idea of leaving him in childcare. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending her and her team. They’ve genuinely created a nursery environment which is home-from-home, truly unique and gives outstanding care for all of their children.

As Harry approaches school in September our hearts are somewhat heavy in the sense that we will all miss Louise and her team so much, but at the same time so grateful for the start she has given him.
