We went to Min Jiang specially for their Peking duck. I got to admit that their first course of duck skin and meat wrapped with their own wrap was lovely. It even came with their own homeMade min Jiang specialty sauce.

I wasn’t too impressed by their second course of duck meat with iceberg lettuce. It felt as if the second course was more of an appetizer and in all my experience of having Peking duck, I raise questions about the size and width of their second course that really dropped my experience from a good to a borderline hmmm.

I’ve attached photos for those around to judge as I had better San choy bao as a second course else where before. If the restaurant can better their second course, this place for Peking duck.. I would give a better rating.

Best Peking duck I’ve had in London so far! It’s a must order if you do visit! The chef will be carving the roast duck in front of you and pancakes that were served with it is freshly made with a nice selection of sauces. Also you get to choose how you would like the remaining duck meat to be made. We went for the fried rice and that was pretty good too. The dim sums were very tasty too.
Excellent service and can dine with an amazing view. Highly recommended.

We ate here for our anniversary. It's an extra special place for us as we had our wedding lunch here so it was very special to come back and relive those memories. The service is always fantastic and the food was delicious 😋. They even gave us a little surprise after lunch for our anniversary. Looking forward to coming back here next year...if not sooner!

Went here for dinner one evening. We live nearby so thought we’d check it out. When we entered they said our table wasn’t ready but that we could sit at the bar. The bar experience was pretty bad took forever to get our order in and when we did the drinks never arrived. We were told they would arrive to the table which was a shame as we wanted to enjoy them at the bar with the lovely view of Kensington gardens. Once we got to our table the waiters were great and attentive. The food is truly amazing though. The food is the scene stealer really. Good ambience too. Still have 5 stars as maybe I just arrived at a busy time for the bar? Would go again nonetheless!

Really enjoyed this place. Due to the covid restrictions, I have not been able to travel and have been missing China greatly. This place took me back there - from the food to the interiors - it all felt intentional and authentic. The view is mesmerising at night, especially in winter when the Winter Wonderland is on.

Dim sum was superb and I truly enjoyed it. It was well balanced and light. We also ordered half duck - it is sliced in front of you and makes up three dishes: duck skin with sugar, duck fillet with translucent wheat pancakes and a third of your option - we went for a soup. Duck was a bit fatty for me but I know it is the traditional way. The pancakes worked really well with the fillets and the fillings. Soup was a lovely closure to the dinner - full flavour and hearty.

One of our top 2 Chinese restaurants in London (the other is A Wong). Can’t beat this view - and the food is always excellent. Whether from the Dim Sum menu or the A’La Carte Menu. All of it is delicious & good quality. Their special Chinese New Year offering looks great. They have a good sized private dining room too, which my husband had his retirement/farewell dinner in when we left London in 2018. The staff are all knowledgeable & super helpful.

If you can book early enough request a window table - it’s so special. I prefer going for long lazy lunches so you can soak up the sweeping views of Kensington Gardens, Kensington Palace and London - which you can see major icons like the London Eye, the Shard, the Royal Albert Hall and the Albert Memorial. I think an early dinner to catch sunset would be equally special.

Food wise THE best dim sum in my opinion are the jade bamboo mushroom dumplings, Xiao Long Bao, and the Char Siew Puffs &
Chilli Prawn Toast.

Mixed feelings.

The service is good and the view is lovely. We had the roasted duck and it’s lovely. Their own version with garlic sauce is amazing. But I would really appreciate if you had some more of the ”toppings”.

What they are missing is that the second serving was not good. We had the one with noodles. And it was simply boring.
The restaurant is in need of renovation and the toilets was not clean and not to my satisfaction.

This remain my most favourite Chinese restaurant in London. Not only because of the food and the view being on the top floor of the Royal Garden Hotel overlooking the Kensington Gardens and Kensington Palace. The service is always solid and good.

Good selection and extensive list of wine menu. Their signature dish is Peking Duck. You should order it in advance to avoid disappointment. The restaurant is very popular, so do book a couple of months in advance if you want a table before 9pm.

Food 9/10, service 9/10, ambience 9/10, value for money 9/10.
