Forbidden Palace Chinese Restaurant

Honestly worst salt and pepper squid ever tasted. Way too much salt snd pepper, initially pleased it was crispy but was so crispy they killed it. Should have read the other reviews before ordering. 100% disgusting, could only just stomach 3 small pieces, same for my boyfriends portion too - waste of £15

Service dreadful. Food tasteless & stingy portions. The worst Chinese meal I have ever had. They couldn’t even be bothered to chill the white wine.
Please don’t waste your money by going to this dreadful restaurant.

Got this curry with extras with a fly in it never use them again all went in the bin

Food has gone downhill recently. Orders are always wrong but cost is going through the roof. Sad because they were fab for ages but not anymore. The photo below is supposed to be bean sprout chow mien but is quite obviously Singapore chow mein and was so hot I couldn’t eat it.

Update: So today 16/09/22 we thought we’d give this place a seconds chance. Big mistake, order was wrong and very very greasy. Ordered special fried rice and got pork chow mein. Bye bye Forbidden palace, never again.

What an awful place! The order took nearly 3 hours to arrive, despite saying an hour and a half. We then called the restaurant to ask where it was, we got no apology and were told at 21.30 that the traffic was awful. The lady was extremely incompetent and there was no offer of recompense and we will 100% not be returning!

Absolutely vile!!! Do not waste your money here. The prawns were rock hard and the batter around them was crunchy and stale. Clearly just been sat there for ages and the lamb in the curry some bits were jelly fat and others were rock hard. The lady on the phone had absolutely no clue and she sounded about 12. She didnt even know what a trades button was. Please do not waste your money here.

Waited 2 hours so called the restaurant. They said they had miss placed the order and that the food was never made. but we also received a message saying the food was on its way 30min before calling them. They weren’t really very apologetic. They refunded the £5 delivery fee but no compensation on the food. They just didn’t really care. The food was good enough but not worth the rubbish customer service.

Just got a delivery from Forbidden Palace.. Absolutely disgusting. £40 I sent and it was terrible
