Oriental Garden

We didn't book in advance but had no issue in being seated. Shown to the table & Given cutlery, napkins & gloves (to use when dishing food). Lovely buffet menu, perfect opportunity to try something different.
Drinks orders were taken at the table. You help yourself to the buffet wearing the gloves. Your plates are cleared as soon as your finished. Fresh plates and cutlery are buy the buffet.
Loved the fresh fruit dessert option with soft ice cream 😉 plenty of cakes on offer.

Tried the buffet menu here in the evening.
Food is good and tasty.
Good selection.

Service was very good. Lovely people.
Parking is very easy.

Honestly most of the food was astonishingly tasty!!! I coukd barely walk back to the car because i enjoyed it so much!
oh and most of the staff were super friendly especially management!

my one concern was the battered shrimp i think it was? they hadn't been shelled very well at all before being battered and for a secomd was scared i had snapped a tooth, just hope the kitchen staff can be aware of this 😅 this one mistake aside I'd definitely return again and again and again!

Probably my favourite Chinese Buffet restaurant in South Wales. Good selection of food, very tasty! Staff are great, get you seated and your drinks ordered almost immediately. Definitely recommend booking in advance as its usually very busy here. Only downside can be other customers... I have no problem with people walking around me to get to the food they like, I just hate it when people breathe down my neck and lean past to get at something instead of waiting for 5 seconds. Staff do their best to keep food choices topped up...but some customers obviously don't know this as they stand there filling up their plates with one or 2 dishes as if the restaurant is closing for good within the next 5 minutes. They just don't get the concept of a buffet!

Oriental buffet food. The selection seems a bit limited. There is the addition of a dessert section, but the choices are very few.

The food is well prepared but it could be a little hotter.

Although thy staff did their best to be friendly, they appeared to be rushed and seemed too busy to pay attention to customers.

Nice food but getting to be quite pricey for what it is.

I don't want to seem disrespectful as I love this restaurant a lot. But I went there for my birthday recently with my friends and two of them ordered only a drink of cola and when it was time to pay and leave, they were charged £20 for one drink because no one told us that you had to buy food. No one was told how much the buffet was either so it was a good thing I had the right amount, but the staff were pushy and persistent that my friends pay over £20 for just a drink and I feel like that was a bit scummy. Next time I feel like people should be told that you have to buy a meal when you go in and please ask beforehand how much the buffet is before you eat. I feel like there should be something there that gave you prices of food as you are only given a menu when you order takeaway.

Slightly disappointed at the variation of choice, the cleanliness was questionable and the staff rather rude. We bought a large party from London. I am sure historically there has always been a great mixture of dishes and choice. It seemed very lacking and disappointed to see the crispy duck has been swapped for aromatic pork. Sadly probably won't return.
