Peking House Chinese Takeaway

We placed an order at 7.30pm. We were advised delivery would be 45 minutes to an hour. At 8.50pm our order still hadn’t arrived so I phoned to check where it was and it arrived 10 minutes later. It arrived minus 2 meals. I phoned again. Bobi was helpful but the lady in charge refused to discuss the matter with me. We were offered a free bag of prawn crackers next time we order. As if we will be ordering from this Chinese again! Extremely poor service and even worse customer relations. The delivery driver has an attitude and was extremely rude also. We will not be using this Chinese again and do not recommend.

Best Chinese we've had 10 out of 10, everything was delicious. All fresh ingredients, full of flavour and big portions Fast delivery. Would highly recommend.

Wot a shame working all day decided to have meal from Peking house very disappointed duck was over cooked and very dry chips undercooked most ended up in the bin sorry will not use again

We were staying at our holiday lodge on Littlehaven retreat they delivered to us food was great still hot highly recommend.

We were staying at the Premier Inn found this takeaway delivered, so after a long day we ordered. Payments is cash only.

The person taking the order was very polite and the food was delivered in the timeframe promised.

I had the king prawn curry and found the curry to be rather thin, so plating it up was quite awkward. I would have preferred a thicker curry consistency.

The prawn crackers were a little old I thought and were showing signs on browning on the edges.

We also ordered salt and pepper chicken wings but they were too over cooked to eat.

We ordered a mixed appetiser and the seaweed had what appeared to be granulated sugar on - this was a strange texture/taste. The chicken satay were again overcooked but the spring roll and ribs seemed ok.

My wife had pork with broccoli and boiled rice but found this to be rather bland.

Maybe we just ordered the wrong items, but can’t fault the service.

Order a Chinese from this place regularly and I recommend this place at a family gathering to which we had spent £100, for our order to have been misunderstood wrongly however when we had rang and asked them to send the missing item, the delivery guy which was actually the owner insisted on charging us including the delivery charge when coming to the property and used the foul language at the door. Completely unacceptable and very disappointing considering how highly I have previously rated the place.

Ordered to pick up and it was ready in 20 minutes, food was lovely and fresh and the staff were really nice. Our favourite dish was the orange chicken, so good. They accept card too which is a a huge bonus! Would definitely order again
