Wok Express

Reviews are dreadful here but I always order from wok express with their app when I want a Chinese and I have to say that I haven't been disappointed with the service or the food. App is brilliant to use as it means there is nothing lost over the phone line and also you can pay by card which is awesome :) me and my girlfriend use them regularly and I have never had a bad experience. Wanted to defend them a little because it isn't bad like the other reviewers are saying, it's not the best Chinese but it's definitely a good one

As of January 2018 this only gets a food standard rating of 1.
Checked again today 6/10/18 and no change on Food Standards website.
Their food might be tasty but I wouldn't want to risk eating it.
There are couple of take aways that get a 5. One of them in the same road.

Usually order from here and is fine but after todays disaster I will never be eating from this take away again.
I placed my order absolutely fine and collected within the time suggested-great. Get home and find items missing. Ring back up and after a 5 minute discussion they finally accept that I had items missing. Did I want to collect thrm? Ermmm no! After another 40 minutes the missing items finally arrive but were stone cold. I immediately put all the items (the bits we hadn’t eaten in the previous 40 minutes) back in the bag and return them to the take away. We’re they bothered that items were missing? No.
Were they bothered that items had turned up cold? No.
All they could say was that I had eaten some. Yes of course I’d eaten some, it had been 40 minutes!!!
They finally gave me a partial refund but only after I caused a fuss. Absolutely disgusting customer service and not even an apology for what was all their mistake.

Would give no stars if possible. Firstly our meal took well over an hour to arrive and we had to chase it. Ordered a chicken chilli dish and received a prawn chilli dish. One of our party is allergic to prawns and luckily didn’t eat this as somebody else noticed first. On reporting to the restaurant, they agreed to send the correct dish out and told us to ‘throw the prawns away’. When the correct dish finally arrived (delivered by the owner I believe), he was extremely rude, demanded the prawns back and didn’t apologise. We had no reason to lie about receiving an incorrect dish, and had the prawns been ingested by the person with allergies, the restaurant could very well have been sued! Very poor customer service!

Usually very good but last 2 orders chips were obviously reheated (normally I love Chinese chips,) beef curry had minimal beef and was not extra hot as requested even though we had 3 of them ...shame coz normally we like this place!@@

Simply awful! When it came everything was so oily and was un edible. Very bland, very oily, was very poor, had to throw away. I wouldn't waste your money!

Take-away was nice, we recieved exactly what we ordered.
Delivery was 30min late, but the driver apologised and there was (what be assumed to be a free complimentary) bottle of bucks fizz with our order - Very much appreciated.

Good chips, i know that isnt what you go to a Chinese for but its like 2 pounds for a seemingly bottomless bag so i cant complain. Friendly enough staff too they dont mess you about
