Peking House Chinese

New to the area and just had a takeaway from here. It’s the only Chinese I could find on just eat so I assume they don’t have much competition, so I didn’t have high hopes, although they had a good rating on just eat. When the order came (on time) it looked and smelled amazing, you could tell already it was good quality food. I ordered a Thai red curry and I must say I was blown away! Restaurant quality in a takeaway! Delicious flavours and textures. I would say it’s a bit more expensive than other Chinese takeaways and portions slightly smaller than average but still more than enough, other takeaways usually give too much!
Based on this experience, I would highly recommend.

Bang average Chinese. As someone else mentioned the chips are pretty poor, can't have been cooked fresh, reheated and taste day old. You do get a fortune cookie though. Rest of the food was OK but I'll be back to my regular next time.

Food is lovely, it's hot when you get it, tastes lovely and a great variety of food. One of the best that we have visited, the only thing that lets it down are the chips, a little dry and sometimes hard, but then you don't normally go to a Chinese for the chips would certainly recommend.

Might be the top contender for worst Chinese in coalville. The thing going for it was it was on time.

Ordered crispy chilli beef and blue doritoes have more of a kick, half the sauce was in the bag (not that I was missing the extra flavour on the child's portion of rice).

The chow mein was possibly cooked in sea water with the amount of salt in it.

Please avoid at all costs!!

I suspect the 5* reviews are either bought or people who really enjoy plain salted potato.

Thai vegetable curry was absolutely terrible, chips were cold so will not be ordering again

We just ordered directly, avoiding just eat ridiculous charges, and not disappointed.the food arrived on time, hot and freshly made.every dish arrived in fully packed container, very generous portions and each packed with individual flavour.
We had seafood pad Thai, sweat and sour chicken, beef in black bean sauce, salty squid and special rice- all very tasty indeed.
We are happy to become regular customer, and thank you very much for your effort

Have to say I was pleasantly surprised ... Open until 11pm whereas our normal takeaway shuts at 10.30pm...so gave Peking House a go and it was spot on !
The Crispy Shredded Beef was perfect , melted in your mouth after the crunch and wasn't chewy. All in all First Class and our new goto takeaway ..!

We have a Chinese take away regularly from another local take away. However, they were closed today so thought we'd give Peking House a try. Tonight's was the best by far! We'll definitely be ordering from here from now on! Food was fresh, tasty, hot and a good price. Thanks
