Shanghai Express

This is the worst Chinese I've ever had in my life. I couldn't even eat it. I never even knew it was possible to mess a Chinese dish up. DISGUSTING DISGUSTING. Utterly disgusted with the food from this restaurant. The cheesecake came frozen. Frozen. With Ice in it. I called them and they weren't even apologetic about it.
I ordered through hungry house and complained to them as well and they also gave me the run around and only got someone to attend to me almost 3 hours later saying the restaurant wasn't responding to them and none of the other 4 staff members I chatted with thought it relevant to let me know. Instead lied that they(the restaurant) would come pick up.
I'm totally disgusted with the services of both parties. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!

Customer Service really bad!

Took over an hour for my food to arrive, food arrived cold and tried to blame the uber drivers. The drivers were on time to collect the food but told the drivers it wasn’t ready after waiting 1 hour.

Called the restaurant to ask how long, he rudely hung up and said he couldn’t help me cause I didn’t have an order number. I explained to him I understand if your busy but just say your busy not hang up the phone, and blame everyone else for the poor time management of the business

Will never order again, thank you very much!

AWFUL SERVICE ROBBERS DO NOT ORDER THEY STEAL YOUR MONEY!!!!

I ordered through Uber eats £30 worth of food, they delivered one chicken chow mein and a curry sauce THATS IT. Called them to get the rest of my order and was told “they never received the order”. Uber have refused to refund me for my order. THE RESTAURANT IS TERRIBLE, is jointed with a pizza shop which is in itself ridiculous. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE YOU ARE GOING TO BE ROBBED. I am in my right mind to call the police on this restaurant they need to be shut down. disgusting service

Where to even start. By far the least professional takeaway business I've ever come across. I have ordered from Shanghai Express on two occasions, using ubereats, and in both occasions have received the completely wrong order, with most of my items missing. UberEats were contacted, although they dismissed my complaints despite me only receiving £8 worth of food from a £30 order.

After calling this resterant directly it was clear to see that they were lacking professionalism, hiding behind ubereats despite them being in the wrong.they suggested I contact ubereats despite them not providing the food, saying that the order was not received.

This resteraunt is a complete scam. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE

The food is actually pretty good here and I would give it 3 out of 5 if I’m honest with you I order the same chicken chow mein crispy duck and pork dumplings, all the time and the food is good however the delivery driver attitude is disgusting , it’s happened a lot and it got to the point where I had to tell him about himself, Because he’s so rude but tonight I called the restaurant to order some food and he answered the phone taking deliveries I’ve never had someone speak to me so unprofessionally and so rude!! This is the last time now unless they get rid of this guy I will not be ordering from this restaurant again

I’ve been here many times as I live around the corner, I have only now seen there low google rating as I always just walked in. I’ve always really enjoyed the food here, particularly the tofu in black bean sauce!

Just went in ask for a bbq sauce because i read the reviews b4 hand bit thought I'd give it a try and yes reviews r correct very RUDE and sauce was terrible ill have to look for another Chinese

I honestly don't understand how the other reviews are that terrible, I've ordered from this place half a dozen times before and the food was always excellent - best salt&pepper chicken I've had so far. Always steaming hot and never anything missing, genuinely missed this place during lockdown.
