Magic Chef

Ordered chicken curry, egg fried rice and a spring roll. Rice was nice, the curry sauce was nice, it had big chunks of onions and mushrooms in it. The meat however was absolutely vile. Processed rubbish. No texture or flavour. Couldn’t eat it. Spring roll was greasy and bland. Couldn’t eat that either. God this area needs a decent Chinese ☹️

Whilst the food was delivered in timley manner, the quality was poor, food was slimey amd lacked flavour, there is a reason it was a substantial amount less then our regular which is currently shut. Also portions were small.....

Now called 'The Magic Chef'. We had duck pancakes, singapore fried vermicelli noodles, salt & pepper prawns yesterday evening. We ordered by phone & picked up. Order was ready on time & everything we had was cooked really well & was very tasty.
Great that we have a good quality chinese takeaway within walking distance!

ordered sweet and sour, dumplings, deep fried spicy chicken, satay beef. I had to check if it was my own cutlery tht tasted off when i tried my sweet and sour chicken... thats how much of an 'off' taste it had, found out when others tried it, that it was the sauce, clearly 2-3 day old processed chicken, dumplings weren't even fried or warm, they were bread more than dumpling dough.

We wanted to try this place to give it a go. NEVER AGAIN! The food was sat waiting on the side getting cold when I arrived to collect. The front of house left it like that while I got cash out despite saying she would keep it warm. Ribs were burnt along with prawn toast. Carrots in curry tasted off. Meat had no taste. Salt and pepper squid was inedible and rock solid. Prawn crackers were old and stale. Rice was all stuck together. We never waste a Chinese but this went in the bin. Needs more than a face lift let me tell you.

It was quite nice. Portion size was good. Pork balls were good. Spring roll massive and quite tasty. Lovely curry sauce. Duck chow mein needed salt but ok. Crispy duck was ok. Pretty good stuff but needed msg. Just had another meal from magic chef. Prawn balls,curry sauce, Singapore rice noodles, Chinese duck, spring roll. Quick delivery, nice and tasty

Ordered a delivery. Friendly staff. It did take an hour but when we called the woman was helpful and polite, explained they were very busy but it was on it's way. It arrived soon after. Driver again polite and friendly.
Food arrived hot and was fresh with a good variety of vegetables and beautiful flavours. Will definitely be using again. Lovely, clean tasting, hot food. Thank you 🙂
