China Chef

Used to be good, but over the last 6 months quality has gone down, as I regularly went there, I thought it was a once off, but after 3 subsequent visits it had not improved.
Better off going down the road 5 minutes.

The pork balls are bland meat over cooked and over salted and too much batter. Same for chicken.

Staff are very friendly though

We ordered here because of the good reviews. But.. the toughest ribs I've ever tried to eat and quite bland food. No body finished their meal. The prawn crackers and boiled rice were the best things we ordered. Nothing tasted horrible but we've had better elsewhere.

One star is generous. I ordered barbecue pork spare ribs and asked if it came with barbecue sauce and was told it does. I was offered different types and said I wanted normal barbecue sauce not the spicy one. I also ordered duck spring rolls and crispy seaweed.

The duck spring rolls were mainly cabbage and carrots and the hoisin sauce only just adequate for them.

The crispy seaweed was probably crispy and fresh a week ago. It smelled like stale cabbage, looked old and was stone cold and rancid. Everywhere else does it fresh and hot. She told me when I complained that it is always served cold. Trying to fool someone who has eaten Chinese food both takeaway and restaurant food regularly and since childhood is off-putting. My sister's friend's parents had a Chinese takeaway.

The barbecue spare ribs had next to no meat on and there was no sauce whatsoever. They were sat in a tub of orange coloured oil with no flavour at all and not even mixed with sauce it was bland cold ribs in oil.
When I called to tell them they just made excuses saying that she spent all day making that barbecue sauce but it was just oil so unlikely.

If you appreciate quality Chinese food, this is not where to buy it.

Nastiest Chinese I had! Arrived in 10 mins ! Everything was blatantly microwaved chow mien super dry ,beef in black bean sauce hard as boots! Never again ordering from there! They should be called chef Mike(microwave)! Everything is portioned and the microwaved when customers call. Never again

Feel Ill, we walked in for food. Chicken balls like rocks. Sauce disgusting. Ribs deep fried bone no meat no flavour, rice crunchy and yellow. Black bean chicken delicious but how when the rest was tripe I do not know! Won’t return we all have tummy aches

I'm the fussiest guy in the world when it comes to Chinese food because it is my favourite thing to eat.
I Drove past in a rush going to work and on the off chance thought I'd give it a go, great tasting food and good customer service. I got smoked shredded chicken, egg fried rice plus a curry sauce and I loved every bit off it.
I will definitely be back.

Took back the soggy cold chips I wonder what they do with it
Regular customer, ordered almost every week, today is the last day I did. Delivered a wrong order chips instead of king prawn cutlet, phone them up no apology just said we send a prawn and just send back the chips, we didn't wanted the chips but
I wonder what they do with those cold soggy chips they picked up almost an hr later.

Used to be nice
but now it’s horrible the curry was like a petrol/ chemicals taste it wasn’t edible. The prawn crackers are stale waist of £35 will never go here agen
