Canton Takeaway

Do people read 4 star reviews? Ordering whilst they are very busy seems to be a bit of a lottery. I drove to the take away and placed my order, waited for it and then drove home. Opened the meal and eagerly tucked in and ate my first prawn ... only to find it was chicken. I called Canton and after some confusion with them insisting I had ordered a huge amount of food (in fact one dish and one pancake roll) they asked me if I could go back. Well this wasn't part of my original plan but I had really been looking forward to the prawns, so I did. On arrival she asked me for the wrong dish... i had left it at home, i didn't imagine that they would want it back as i had eaten some before realising it was wrong. Anyway she gave me a non believing look and asked me to wait. She then took an order on the phone that went on and on and on , not her fault, after a further few minutes she pushed the correct meal in my direction. I got home, opened up and ate my first prawn, it was fabulous (if somewhat cold). Tomorrow I will return the partly eaten chicken dish so that I can show her i am not a liar. They could do with extra staff during these very busy times. If only to take the phone orders. The food was nice.

Had a take away from here tonight for the first time, it was really lovely, so nice to see plenty of vegetables in every dish rather than just onions and peas! Not overly salty and very generous. Will be back as very friendly and quick service.

First ever order delivered and all of it went in bin!
Steamed chicken dumplings were raw, we called to tell them so that other people were not subjected to potential food poisoning and they argued or pretended to not understand!
Beef in chow mein was tough and inedible!
Even the chips were undercooked!
Very disappointed and will not risk ordering from there again! Don’t waste your money!

Me and my partner got food poisoning rang them up today said they can't do nothing basically next time we give you 20 percent off we'll I am sorry if you gave us food poisoning we are not going to order again will never order again rude on the phone as well

Ordered for collection a few times now, don't usually have to wait too long when I arrive. Food is nice, not greasy, good size portions & always hot.
Staff are always so polite & thankful

It seems to be a theme of them delivering late by the reviews on their site.
So it arrived late fir me but they where polite when i phoned. Driver nice polite.
FOOD hot and delicious. Very well cooked not greasy and I absolutely loved my meal.

Extremely Rude & Disrespectful Staff

Received an angry phone call from the restaurant saying to never use the group order feature on Uber eats ever again because they where busy and group orders are complicated! There was no need for the phone call they where just having a rant! Extremely rude and unprofessional and after all that the food was awful!

Avoid

Ordered some food yesterday and was waiting for over 1½ hours for our food to be delivered. My partner rang up to see where our food was too and was told that we are to far away to be delivered! No phone call to tell us this, so was sat waiting for nothing! They haven't even gave us a refund! Will never use again!!
