Fountain House

I always enjoy the food from here, you get a decent amount that is of a great quality for the amount you pay. The house special curry tastes good and the chilli, salt and pepper chicken wings taste great too.

I also love the fact they give you free prawn toast and prawn crackers when you order online.

The only problem that i have with the food is that the prawn crackers regularly taste stale or too hard.

Excellent Chinese takeaway! Best we have had in Stafford and we've tried almost all of them. The food tastes great and isn't overly greasy. The chap on the phone is incredibly polite and helpful. There was a mistake on our last order and he replaced it immediately without question. We will be going here and only here from now on.

Lockdown delivery was so fast and the food as always spot on, arrived 20mins before the web site timer, (that's not a complaint) we were starving
and really appreciated the fast delivery. Spare ribs and Cantonese sauce I can recommend with a Chicken and king prawn curry.
Good quality and at reasonable prices, £1.20 for delivery .... not worth me getting the car out, Well done fountain house keep that wok hot.

Ordered the other night and the food was exceptional. Would highly recommend and will definitely be our go to Chinese in the future. The man on the desk was also very friendly and we even got a free can of pop for our wait. Hot, tasty and very reasonably priced

Do not order from this place, after chewing on this hairball and thinking 🤔 something isn't right here, I was surprised to pull this out of my mouth. God knows what the council food hygiene rating is but it should be 0 at best!

The website wasn't working, I went and ordered. They said 20 minutes, no problem. Then said cash only, I was a little annoyed but oh well, I went home got my wallet and got some cash and went and paid. I waited 20 minutes, that is 15 minutes longer than they said given my exertion. I left, 50 minutes after they rang to say my food was ready. I told them to eat it themselves, I will not be returning. They have let me down on so many occasions. AVOID!

Absolutely delicious! We have used the same Chinese takeaway for years and thought it was the best, but 3 weeks ago we took a gamble and tried Fountain House...3 orders later and we are still ordering with them...we have found our new weekly favourite 😍

Really Awful - don’t eat here!

Not ordered from here for a while.
Very disappointed in how bad the food has gotten.
Prawn crackers tasted swampy to the point of we wouldn’t feed them to our dogs - who love a prawn cracker.
Spare ribs in bbq sauce didn’t have a bbq sauce just an insipid tasteless liquid. Triple crown in oyster sauce inedible despite it being a signature dish. The remainder of the mains were edible. The meal was accompanied by a free dish which was so bad they would be better off not sending it.
Cancelled my account and will go elsewhere in future.
