Ruby Chinese Takeaway

Food is always cooked perfectly. Dishes are hot, fresh, full of flavour, and ready quickly. Ordered from here twice and have been delighted with the service and food. The staff/owners are absolutely lovely too. New favourite chinese restaurant!

Been here a few times. Can be hit and miss. Though tonight food was nice, however prices have gone up quite a bit and portion size was a lot smaller than normal usually can feed family of four now very lucky to get two people. Didn't mind the price increase as original portions worth it. Can't see me using here again unfortunately.

Worst chinese ever.....tasteless! Chicken looked slimey. The box it came in said frozen cooked chicken breast from brazil! Will not be ordering again!!! Absolute muck!

Just had a takeaway portion of chips. Was really looking forward to them..... However, I was really disappointed to see that the portion was very small, Eg- the bag was only half full. I got the impression this was the chips left over from a previous order that were considered to be: "there should be enough leftover from that last order I'm just about to deliver, just reheat them and put them loosely in a small bag he'll never know etc", yes a small bag, probably a smaller bag normally used for smaller items, to make the bag with chips in look more filled.
Anyway, very disappointing. Please note, I would happily have paid more for a bigger portion. I would have given this review 2 stars due to the chips being nice, but towards the bottom I was tasting salt and chilli flavours where my food had been contaminated from Ruby's previous order leftovers; hence 1 star.

I don't necessarily follow the menu & am not a regular customer.. every 8 weeks or so maybe?!?... my order was just what I asked for, so tasty, loved it & arrived within the time advised.
In my limited experience I find Saturday food tastes better, don't know if the chef changes?
I have never had a bad meal on a Saturday evening.

Ordered from here last night and after only a few bites of the order it was inedible! The lemon chicken was awful and has left us both ill and vomiting all morning. Used to be amazing this chinese a few years back. Only ordered from here as the Chinese we normally order from was closed so will never make that mistake again.

Worst place ever the chicken curry tasted like gravy with uncooked chicken inside i would never order from there again 😡

Food was extreamly bland, & the only flavour that could be tasted was salt & more salt. Most of what we eat all tasted the same & was only warm not hot, also all foods were just covered in the same sauce, which tasted like warm salt water. So so disappointed in Ruby take away. Most of if not pretty much all of the food went in the bin, no one in our family wanted to finish their meals. Shame really as its a serious waste of food & money, but truly the food was just terrible.
