The New Lakeside Takeaway

I only gave any stars because the delivery driver was pleasant. I ordered salt & pepper chicken wings. They arrived quickly but were cold, undercooked as in bloody, & greasy. Absolutely inedible. First and last time using this place. Back to Wok Wong for me.

Ordered takeaway last night. Rice cold. Curry sauce cold with a few circles of uncooked raw onion thrown in. Chips looked and tasted reheats. Lots of burnt leftovers. Not good at all. Standard dropped. Normally very good. But last night was awful.

As usual a very good meal from the Lakeside- we got a portion of crispy chicken and a portion of honey chicken, we ended up just eating one portion between us as it was so big, had the other the next night very tasty and filling

Rice was cold, soup tasted like oil, the sauce was all clumpy had to throw the whole thing out couldn’t eat it! Won’t be ordering again

Curry not nice at all no taste. Asked for chicken and mushroom curry no mushrooms. Husband got chicken and green peppers in black bean sauce. Red peppers and orange peppers no green peppers 🤔🤔

One of the best orange chicken I have ever tasted and order over and over again.. Keep up the good food ♥️♥️

The lakeside has always been my favourite takeaway for the last 17 years. I moved to perth when I was 18 but always made a visit to the lakeside when visiting family. Even made a few trips down just for the lakeside. My favourite was the salt and pepper chicken wings, I’d order 4 boxes to take home.

Sadly new owners now have control of the lakeside and im sorry to say that the chicken wings are now terrible. Completely different to what they were and I am truly devastated. There was no other salt and pepper chicken wings like them anywhere I’ve tried and I’ve tried a lot. Now the lakeside wings are just like any other takeaway chicken wings. I really wish they could bring the old recipe back. I really don’t know what the old recipe consists of and it makes me sad.
Please lakeside, listen and bring back the old recipe!
